YANWO Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Lijin County, Dongying City, Shandong Province, is located in the middle of Lijin County, adjacent to Chenzhuang town and tingluo town in the East, Shengtuo town of Kenli County across the Yellow River in the south, Lijin street and Mingji Township in the southwest, Liguo Township and Xiahe township of Zhanhua County in the west, and Yihe town of Hekou District of Dongying City in the north, with a total administrative area of 243.93 square kilometers.

In 1931, YANWO town was set up in the third district of Lijin County; in September 1963, YANWO district was changed; in July 1984, YANWO town was changed. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Salt Lake town was 78958. As of June 2020, YANWO town has 125 administrative villages.

History of construction

In 1931, YANWO town was set up in the third district of Lijin County.

In 1948, the third district and its towns were abolished, and zuowang district and Yanxi Township and Yandong Township were established.

In September 1955, the three districts were renamed YANWO District, under which YANWO town was governed.

In February 1958, YANWO district and its subordinate towns were abolished, and YANWO town was established under the jurisdiction of the county; in September of the same year, YANWO commune was changed.

In September 1963, YANWO district was changed.

In May 1968, it was changed into YANWO commune.

In July 1984, it was changed to YANWO town.
