Yuanshang Town, subordinate to Laixi City, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, is located in the southwest of Laixi City, Qingdao City, 20 kilometers away from the urban area, facing Dagu River in the East and south, and Xiaogu River in the West. The town has a total area of 172.15 square kilometers, cultivated land area of 65000 mu, jurisdiction over 56 administrative villages, permanent resident population of 77124 people (2017), has formed four pillar industries of fruit, vegetables, animal husbandry, peanut processing.
In May 2020, it will be selected into the list of provincial cultivated land protection incentive townships (towns, streets) in 2019.

Xinyuanshang town is located in the southwest of Laixi City, Qingdao City, facing Guxian town and Yunshan town of Pingdu City across Xiaogu River in the west, adjacent to Guhe sub district office and Rizhuang town in the northeast, and adjacent to Dianbu town across Dagu River in the south. Dagu Road, Nancheng road and 309 National Road crisscross the town. Tongsan Expressway and Yanwei expressway have access to the town, so the traffic is convenient. In December 2012, it was incorporated into Wubei town to establish xinyuanshang town
Historical evolution
The courtyard has a long history. In the Northern Qi Dynasty, Jinglin temple was built more than 1400 years ago. The Ming and Qing Dynasties belonged to Taohua township of Laiyang county. In 1930, it belonged to the eighth District of Laiyang county. In 1934, it belonged to Wubei rural agricultural school. In the spring of 1939, it belongs to the ninth district. In February 1945, the territory was liberated, belonging to Huayuan District of laixinan county. In August 1949, it was renamed the seventh district of laixinan county. In March 1950, it belongs to the 13th District of Laixi county. In February 1952, it was changed into eleven districts of Laixi county. In October 1955, it was renamed Huayuan District of Laixi county. In March 1956, Wubei district was merged into Huayuan district. In January 1958, the district was removed and the township was changed. The garden was divided into three townships: Wubei, Yuanshang and Yongfeng. In August, the two townships of Yuanshang and Yongfeng merged to be called Yuanshang township. In September 1958, Yuanshang township was renamed Yuanshang people's commune. In December 1958, the people's commune of Wubei was merged into the people's commune of the upper court. It reappeared in May 1962. In April 1984, the people's commune was withdrawn, and Yuanshang town was established. In December 2012, Wubei town was admitted to the hospital and set up a new hospital
Xinyuanshang town is located in the west of Laixi City, Qingdao city. It is adjacent to Rizhuang town in the north, Dagu River in the South and Dianbu town. This town is the revolutionary base of Laixi county during the Anti Japanese war. In 1933, the Communists carried out revolutionary activities here. In March 1938, the "Minxian" team united with patriots from all walks of life to fight against Japan in qiqiqihekou and Huayuantou village on the Bank of Xiaogu River, killing 75 Japanese troops, setting an example for the Anti Japanese struggle of the people of Laiyang. In 1945, Nanhai special office established Nanhai United middle school (now the predecessor of Laixi No.1 Middle School) in Yuanshang village to train cadres for the party, government and army. The domestic economy is based on agriculture, with coordinated development of various industries. There are apple, pear, hawthorn and grape orchards of 22044 mu, with an annual output of 2.5 million kg of fruit. It is one of the key fruit production bases in the county. Industrial enterprises have fruit processing, activated carbon, wood, sporting goods, paraffin, printing and coatings. Sporting goods sell well in Hebei, Liaoning, Qingdao, Jinan and other 10 provinces and cities.
