Lutian Township

Lutian Township, known as the "hometown of melons and fruits", is located in the southeast of Poyang County, Jiangxi Province, with a geographical area of 128 square kilometers, a cultivated land area of 41699.4 mu, a permanent resident population of 49362 (2017), 14 village committees and one administrative market town. There are Hongmenkou coal mine, Poyang evergreen cement manufacturing Co., Ltd., Lutian power supply station of Northeast Jiangxi Power Supply Bureau, and sixilinggang management station of Shangrao port and Waterway Administration Bureau. Lutian can be called the transportation hub of ponan. Pole, honglao, Hongling, Fengxin and baiguanwang lines crisscross the whole area. It is also the only way from Poyang to Guangdong, Fujian, Yingtan, Nanchang and Shangrao. It is close to Leping railway station in the East, and embraces Le'an River in the West.

Geographical resources

Lutian township is a hilly area, most of which are mountains, about 110000 mu, accounting for more than half of the total land area. Jifeng in the northwest is the highest point in the territory, 147.5 meters above sea level. The peak on the mountain is high and the forest is deep. It is said that there are underground rivers. Among them, xianfengling, 110 meters above sea level, is located at the foot of Poyang County cement plant. Two kilometers northwest of xianfengling is Hongmenkou coal mine in Poyang County. Shajia Lake in the west is the lowest point in the territory, with an altitude of only 16 meters. The reed field is rich in resources and products. Lutian township has formed a "five color" industry of green (brick), red (red stone), white (limestone), black (coal), green (fruit). Historical evolution

According to historical records, Lutian township was inhabited as early as the Eastern Jin Dynasty and has a history of more than 1600 years. In the Tang Dynasty, there were a few villages. In the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, there were many villages with a large population. There were several villages with hundreds of households, such as Li's family in Lutian, Shen's family in Heyuan, Li's family in Longpi, Fang's family in oak forest, Zhang's family in Daji, Xi'an Bay, Ying's family in Lutian, etc. Because of its important geographical location, Bailu port was the only way to Jingdezhen, Leping, Wannian and other places from Raozhou Fucheng in ancient times. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, Lutian township was under the jurisdiction of Shangqi Township, Xiaqi Township and Sixi Township respectively. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Shangqi Township, Xiaqi Township and Sixi Township in the first district of Poyang. In 1952, it was the first district of Poyang (later changed to Lutian District). In 1956, it belonged to Sixi district and governed Lutian, Daji, Gushan, Wukou and other townships. In 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of raobu commune. In 1961, it established Lutian district and governed Lutian, raobu, Lingkou and Daji communes. In 1968, it was withdrawn and merged into Lutian commune. At the end of 1972, raobu commune was separated from Lutian commune and officially established in 1983 People's Government of Lutian township.

The economy of Lutian township is mainly agriculture. It mainly produces grain and oil crops such as rice, soybean, peanut, sesame, rape and so on. The underground mineral deposits are mostly coal, limestone, red stone, petroleum and ceramic soil, all of which have mining value.
