Youdunjie town

Youdunjie Town, located in the northwest of Poyang County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, is close to Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China. With a total area of 156 square kilometers, youdunjie town has 29 village committees, one neighborhood committee and a permanent resident population of 86371 (2017). It is one of the central towns in Poyang County.

Youdunjie town has a superior traffic location. G351 national highway passes through the town, g56 Hangzhou Ruizhou expressway has a toll station in the town, and jiujingqu railway has a dispatching station in the town. The town is 80 kilometers away from Jiujiang City, 50 kilometers away from Luojia airport in Jingdezhen, 18 kilometers away from Poyang station and 10 kilometers away from freight station. In July 2010, youdunjie town of Poyang County was rated as Jiangxi provincial demonstration town.

Historical evolution

It was named after the residence. In the past, an oil press was built on a mound. Youdunjie commune was established in 1958, changed to township in 1984, and changed to town in 1994. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Youdun Township, zhegang Township and Tongtan township. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Youdun Township, zhegang Township and Tongtan township of twelve districts. Youdunjie commune was established in 1958. In 1961, it belonged to ZhangTian commune, Hubin commune, Lianshan commune and Qiaotou commune in Youdun district. In 1968, the commune was merged and still called youdunjie commune. In 1984, the township was changed, and in 1995, the township was withdrawn to establish a town. In 1997, it covers an area of 38.5 square kilometers and has a population of 29000. It governs 9 administrative villages including ZhangTian, Gangtou, Xigang, Xihu, Youdun, Longwei, Tonggang, Zhexia and Shazhou. The town government is located in Youdun street, 43 kilometers away from the county. In December 2001, Hubin township was abolished and transferred to youdunjie town. In 2006, Lianshan Township and qiaotoujie Township were abolished and put under the jurisdiction of youdunjie town.

Rivers in the territory are rich in sand and pebbles. If there is shallow water layer, the flow of groundwater resources is about 140 million cubic meters, and the annual utilization of aquaculture water surface is 1400 hectares.

natural disaster

The main natural disasters are mountain torrents, hail and snow. It mainly occurred in January and February. The most serious one was in June 1998, when mountain torrents broke out and good farmland was destroyed, resulting in a direct economic loss of 8.1415 million yuan.
