geological structure
Stratigraphic conditions: ① most of the basement of Huangjinbu town belongs to the pre Sinian Shuangqiaoshan group, and its lithology is gray green phyllite, intercalated with sandy phyllite, phyllitic silt layer and phyllitic rock. The upper part is gray black carbonaceous phyllite with a thickness of 14922 meters. A small part of the lower Carboniferous Zishan formation consists of grayish white quartz sandstone, carbonaceous shale, thin coal seam and refractory clay. It is about 300 meters thick and deposited continuously on the huashanling formation. Sporadic part belongs to huashanling formation of Lower Carboniferous system, the main lithology is grayish white and purplish red sandstone, conglomerate with siltstone and sandy shale, and grayish white conglomerate at the bottom. It is about 182 meters thick and unconformity above Shuangqiaoshan group. ② the Quaternary strata in Huangjinbu town are well developed with large exposed area. most of them belong to the upper Pleistocene strata, the upper layer: maroon sub clay, containing a large amount of bead shaped ferromanganese nodules, and a small amount of Muscovite flakes and quartz sand; the middle layer: light yellow clay like network structure, containing a lot of ferromanganese nodules; the lower layer: gravel pebble layer, the composition of pebbles is quartz metamorphic rock, sub angular. A small part belongs to the valley plain area of the Middle Pleistocene strata: the lithology of this layer is not fully exposed, and most of them are covered by laterite. Upper layer: homogeneous laterite, about 1-4.5m thick; middle layer: reticulate laterite, lenticular distribution, about 0.5-5.5m thick; lower layer: laterite gravel layer, mainly composed of quartz, poor sorting and roundness, subangular gravel, with different sizes and thickness of 0.3-4m. (3) Holocene: Holocene strata are modern alluvium. It can be divided into the following alluvium, lake deposit and eluvium. Most of Huangjinbu town belongs to eluvium, but its distribution is sporadic and discontinuous. Its lithology is mainly loam, sometimes with a small amount of gravel, and it transits to bedrock weathering layer. geological situation: Huangjinbu town has experienced many tectonic movements. The geological structure of the area is characterized by shegeng Wulei anticline, and the southwest part is composed of synclinorium and other structural belts. The structural belt is mainly composed of a series of compound Chuwen belts formed by the metamorphic rocks of the Shuangqiaoshan group of the Paleozoic, which are inclined in the east-west direction, inclined in the north and reversed in the south. The main folds are shegeng anticline, Changchun Bridge anticline, Zhaili anticline and Wangjiapo anticline.
topographic features
Topography: the East is mainly hilly, the west is valley plain, and the Xinjiang River goes north along the West and south boundary. Wanchunzhai, the highest peak in the northeast, is 328 meters above sea level, the second highest peak in Yugan county. The central and western regions are plain, with Xinjiang River, one of the four major rivers in Jiangxi Province, as the western boundary. Xiangfengjian (located on the outskirts of Huangjinbu town in the southeast of the county, with an area of 8 square kilometers and an altitude of 79 meters, it is named after the Phoenix whose top looks like a flying phoenix.) Maling peak (located in the southeast of Huangjinbu town of the county, with an area of 2 square kilometers and an altitude of 308 meters, it is named after the dense pine trees on the mountain.) landform: ① the main landform of Huangjinbu is eroded Hill landform, which is mainly composed of metamorphic rock series of Shuangqiaoshan group. The altitude is 150-250 meters, the highest altitude is 390 meters, and the relative elevation is 50-120 meters. The hillside is relatively gentle, generally 25 to 40 degrees, the top of the mountain is muddy and garden shaped, and the valley is mostly U-shaped. ② some landforms are deposited River and lake plain landforms, distributed in Xinjiang area, consisting of alluvial plain and terrace of Quaternary Holocene Series and Pleistocene strata. A small part is alluvial plain, distributed in the Xinjiang River and its tributaries, along the lake, composed of Holocene Lake alluvium high floodplain. The ground is flat. The altitude is 14-22 meters, which can be 2.5-5 meters higher than the water level of rivers and lakes in dry season. Huangjinbu town belongs to the first terrace in the geomorphology of Yugan County, which is composed of the upper Pleistocene series and one inner overlapping (Huangjinbu) or embedded (daxidu) terrace. The terrace is flat and slightly inclined to the riverbed of Xinjiang River. The altitude is 20-23 meters, 1-2 meters higher than the plain.
