Zhanping town
Zhanping Town, subordinate to Linchuan District, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest of Linchuan District. It faces Xiaoqiao town and changkai town across Fuhe River in the East, Fubei town in the south, Wenquan Town in the West and Tongyuan town in the north. It covers an area of 68 square kilometers and governs one community and 11 administrative villages. In late 2018, there were 22 thousand and 100 registered residence population in the town of the exhibition area.
Zhanping town is located at the intersection of Fufeng line and SHANGZHAN line, Linchuan North interchange of Yinfu expressway, Zhanping interchange of Changdong expressway, Fuzhou comprehensive logistics park and Linchuan No.1 Industrial Park. It is less than 10 km away from the downtown area of Fuzhou.
The main agricultural economic crops in Zhanping town are rice, vegetables and camellia oil, and the animal husbandry is mainly raising pigs, chickens and ducks. By the end of 2018, Zhanping town had 66 industrial enterprises and 8 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, the territory was the 17 capitals of Zhaoxian Township, Linchuan county.
In 1947, it belonged to the Sixth District.
In 1953, it belonged to the eighth district (Zhanping District); in 1958, Zhanping Township, Shijing Township and Lianhe Township were merged to establish Zhanping commune; in 1984, Zhanping commune was changed to Zhanping township; on September 26, 2018, Zhanping township was abolished and Zhanping town was established.

In the fourth year of Qianfu (878) of emperor Xizong of Tang Dynasty, Wang Xianzhi's Department fought with the volunteers in Donggang. It was named Zhanping because of its name. Later generations called it the main culprit of the war, so it was named Zhanping.
