Qiqin town
Qiqin Town, subordinate to Xingan County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northeast of Xingan County, adjacent to chengshang Township in the East, Shijiang township of Fengcheng City in the northeast, Taoxi Township in the northwest, Tanqiu Township in the south, Maixie town and shenzhengqiao Township in the West. The town is 11.7 km long from north to South and 13.3 km wide from east to west, covering an area of 118.43 square kilometers. It has 15 administrative villages, 1 community, 129 village groups and 88 natural villages, with a total population of 35000.
The main crops in Qiqin town include rice, rape, vegetables, etc., and the forest products mainly include Cunninghamia lanceolata, slash pine, Camellia oleifera forest, Phyllostachys pubescens, etc.

Historical evolution
In May 1993, with the approval of Jiangxi provincial government, Qiqin township was abolished and Qiqin town was established. In 2000, there were 88 natural villages in Qiqin Town, including 19 administrative villages and 117 village groups, including Qiqin, Jinlian, Qiantang, Nanbian, Zhaixia, qiunan, Jingjing, Tiandong, Luling, Lucun, Pingshang, Shakeng, Tangmu, Longwen, Zaoshi, Dongguo, Jinxia, Jinlong and Chengtian.

Qinshui river is the main river in Qiqin town. It originates from the southern foot of caidiyan mountain at the junction with Taoxi Township, flows through chengshang Township, and then joins with another tributary to form Yijiang river. There are more than 380 large and small water conservancy projects in the town, and the effective irrigation area of farmland reaches 85%.

Qiqin town is one of the grain production areas in Xingan County. The villagers mainly grow rice, and sweet potato, soybean, peanut and sesame are also produced in hilly areas. The total agricultural output value of the town was 10.103 million yuan in 1985, 14.144 million yuan in 1990, 46.23 million yuan in 1995 and 53.19 million yuan in 2000.

The origin of place names
Qiqin street, the seat of Qiqin town government, is named "Qiqin" because there are Qiligang and Qinshui running through the west side of the street.
cultural relics and historic sites
There is a famous "Xianglin Temple" in Qiqin town. Xiang Ziyan, a famous patriotic official of the Southern Song Dynasty, lived in seclusion here. Zhao Gou, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty, wrote the word "Xianglin" by hand. In modern times, there are three famous battle sites of the Central Red Army: Qiushan, wangzhongling and yaobeiling.

Zaoshi village is located in the northeast of Qiqin Town, adjacent to Fengcheng City in the north, about 2km away from Qiqin town and 50km away from Xingan County. It is a remote mountainous area of Xingan County. Zaoshi village is an undeveloped original ecological Geopark. Its surrounding mountains cover an area of more than 18000 mu. The main peaks are caidiyan (1082 meters above sea level), toad tengzinian (930 meters above sea level) and taozishuyanli (705 meters above sea level). The village is surrounded by three pillars.
