Dayangzhou Town, subordinate to Xingan County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northernmost part of Xingan County. It is adjacent to Taoxi Township and Dianxia town of Zhangshu City in the East, Lijiang town in the south, Ganjiang River in the West and Yongtai town of Zhangshu City in the north. It is the North Gate of Ji'an city. By the end of 2019, Oceania town has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages and 1 community, 135 village groups and 98 natural villages, with a total population of 28000.

Dayangzhou town is the earliest birthplace of Jiangyou people. The quantity and quality of bronze unearthed from the Shang Dynasty bronze sites in dayangzhou are considerable, which demonstrates the excellent indigenous culture of Ganpo in the pre Qin period.

History of construction

In June 1949, the county was divided into five districts, with Oceania under the jurisdiction of the people's Government of the same district. In April 1951, the scale of districts and townships was adjusted and Oceania was put under the jurisdiction of the people's governments of six districts. In March 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, and Oceania township was established. In August 1958, Oceania commune was established by integrating government and society. In May 1961, the Oceania commune was under the jurisdiction of Lijiang district. In November 1965, the Oceania commune management committee was established. In April 1968, the Management Committee of Oceania commune was abolished and the Revolutionary Committee of Oceania commune was established. In January 1981, the Revolutionary Committee of Oceania commune was abolished and the Management Committee of Oceania commune was restored. In April 1984, the township system was restored and the Management Committee of Oceania commune was changed into the people's Government of Oceania township. On May 7, 1993, with the approval of the provincial people's government, dayangzhou township of Xingan County was abolished and dayangzhou town was established.
