"For a moment of prosperity in the Six Dynasties, the trees in pingwuyuan were too idle. Leaning on the tower, the sky is dark and the clouds are like a curtain. It is known that it is Langya shogunate mountain. This is Mufu mountain written by Yang Bei, a famous poet in the Northern Song Dynasty. It truly reflects the historical and cultural origin of Mufu mountain. Mufu mountain has a history of 600 million years. As early as the Warring States period, Qin Shihuang once went to Mufu mountain and sailed northward from Shangyuanmen. In the first year of Jianwu in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317 AD), Sima Rui, king of Langya, was called king of Jin in Jiankang. The next year, he was called emperor of Jin. He worshipped Wang Dao as prime minister. Wang Dao set up the shogunate (Staff Headquarters) on the mountain. Therefore, the mountain is called shogunate mountain, and the area of shogunate mountain is also designated as Wang Dao's territory. During the Southern Dynasties, the southern side of Mufu mountain was a place for emperors to hunt, drink and entertain. In the summer of 556 A.D., there was a decisive battle between Liang and the Northern Qi in Mufu mountain. As a result, Chen Baxian, the general of Liang, defeated the southern invading army of the Northern Qi and kept the state of Liang. The king of Liang transferred the throne to Chen Baxian. From then on, a new dynasty appeared in Nanjing. In the early Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang also came to Mufu mountain many times. At that time, in order to build the city wall, Zhu Yuanzhang recruited migrant workers from 13 provinces to make kilns here. The bricks made in the kilns here were of the best quality. The migrant workers worked very hard. He was very happy after seeing this and immediately rewarded the migrant workers with silver and wine. Taking advantage of the emperor's pleasure, a representative of migrant workers knelt down to appeal to the emperor. There was no place name here, so he could not communicate with his family. Please give the name of the village to the emperor. Zhu Yuanzhang thought it was reasonable, so he said, this is the first-class kiln factory. Let's call it Yaoshang village. The name of the village is still used today. In 1684, that is 324 years ago, Emperor Kangxi visited Nanjing for the first time, then visited Shangyuan gate, and then went to Mufu mountain to worship. At that time, there were 12 zigzag curves from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, with a total length of 32 Li. After five years, he came to shogunate mountain again. At that time, it was extremely prosperous and bustling. There was shogunate Avenue below, 6 temples and pagodas above, 49 rooms and 3 temples, and pilgrims were in an endless stream.
