Fangtai Township, subordinate to Xingguo County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the north of Xingguo County, 30 kilometers away from Xingguo County. It is adjacent to Chenggang town in the East, Dinglong Township, Changgang Township and Gaoxing town in the south, Chongxian Township in the West and Fengbian Township in the north, covering an area of 89 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages and 118 villager groups. By the end of 2018, FOTILE Township had a registered residence population of 18 thousand and 500.
Fangtai township is located in the south of Fangshan Mountain, 907 meters above sea level. It belongs to "Taiping Township" in ancient times. It has always been a land of fish and rice with simple folk customs, implying the meaning of "under Fangshan Mountain, peaceful and prosperous times". Fangtai township is 13 kilometers away from Beijing Kowloon Railway and 319 National Road. The third line of provincial highway runs through the township from west to East for 12 kilometers, and Shiji expressway runs through the township for 3.72 kilometers in the south.

Fangtai, Baoshan, Hefu, Qikou and other townships in Chongxian District in the early days of liberation; in 1957, they were merged into Fangtai township; in 1958, Fangtai commune was established; in 1965, they were merged into Chongxian commune; in 1972, Fangtai commune was restored; in 1984, they were changed into Fangtai township.

The origin of place names
Fangtai township was named "Fangtai township" because it was located in the south of Fangshan Mountain and belonged to Taiping Township in ancient times, implying the meaning of "under Fangshan Mountain, peaceful and prosperous times".
Red Culture
During the revolutionary war, Fang taiyingjie joined the army one after another, and 764 people died for their country. From June to September in 1938, the seventh Red Army stationed in Baoshi village, Fangtai Township, and helped the local people carry out agricultural production.

Fangshanling
Fangshan Mountain, 907 meters above sea level, is a famous mountain in Xingguo. Fangshan temple is built on the top of Fangshan Mountain. After reconstruction, it stands on the top of the mountain, overlooking the county.
Gem Wonderland scenic spot
Gem Wonderland scenic spot is located in Baoshi village in the south of Fangtai Township and at the foot of the mountain in the north of fangshanling. There are more than 120 scenic spots in the area, such as gem village, Baxianyan, East (West) well, gem Wonderland, paradise, dreamland, Fenghuangling and Swan Lake. There are many caves in the gem Wonderland scenic area, among which there are temples in three caves: Shiyan ancient temple in the east of the scenic area and shiziyan in Zhongzhai. More than ten temples of this ancient temple are built in the caves, and there is also a pagoda built in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. There is also a Guanyin spring in the rock.
Famous people
Kang Zhiqiang, a member of the Qingfu group of Fangtai village, Fangtai Township, served as deputy political commissar of the Navy after the founding of the people's Republic of China. He was awarded the rank of lieutenant general in 1955, and was awarded the second level of 81 medal, the first level of independent freedom medal, and the first level of Liberation Medal. He is a deputy to the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
