Fengbian Township, subordinate to Xingguo County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the remote mountainous area in the north of Xingguo County, adjacent to Liangcun town in the East, Chenggang Township and Fangtai Township in the south, Chongxian Township and Donggu she Township in Qingyuan District of Ji'an City in the west, and Longgang she Township in Yongfeng County in the north. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Fengbian, Ruokeng, Shiyin and other townships in Baishi district; in 1957, it belonged to Fengbian, Baishi and Chongxian townships in Chenggang district; in the spring of 1958, it merged with Chenggang to form Chenggang commune; in 1961, it set up Shiyin and Fengbian communes; in 1965, Shiyin commune was merged into Fengbian commune.
In 1984, Fengbian commune was changed into Fengbian township.

History and culture
Fengbian township has a long history and outstanding people. It is said that at the beginning of the founding of Xingguo County, Xingguo and Luling two magistrate counties met each other in Fengling County, Luling county. At that time, Xingguo had just set up a county government, where the mountains were high and the forests were dense, and there was no clear place name along the mountain. The nearby area was full of maple leaves, and it was on the side of Fengling, so it was named "Fengbian".
