Maodian Town, belonging to Ganxian District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the middle of Ganxian district. It is known as "the first town of Ganjiang River in thousands of miles" and the east gate of Ganzhou downtown. In 1958, Dongfanghong commune was established and later changed to Maodian commune.
