Sujialong Township
Sujialong township is located in the east of Gongqing City, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, China. It is adjacent to Poyang Lake, surrounded by water on two sides, Jiaotang town in the East, Zequan town and Hengtang town in the north. Changjiu Avenue passes through the city, half an hour's drive from Gongqingcheng station of Changjiu Expressway and Changjiu intercity railway. It has 10 administrative villages, including Qingshan village, tuniu village, Jinlong Village, Zhulin village, Qiaopu village, Leping village, kaifusi village, Xiangshan village, Shuikou village and Daqiao village, as well as sujialong reclamation farm, aquatic farm and ecological forest farm.
Sujialong township is a traditional agricultural township with large-scale planting and aquaculture industry, known as the natural granary. Red soil hills and lakes constitute the land condition of the whole township.
Sujialong Township, originally under the jurisdiction of Xingzi County, was officially under the jurisdiction of Gongqing city in June 2016.
Historical evolution
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, Xingzi County was divided into seven parties and nine capitals. At that time, sujialong Township belonged to Wudu and tuniuzui to Liudu. in the period of the Republic of China, the capital was removed and the township was built. In 1956, 62 townships (towns) in six districts of Xingzi County were merged into 18 townships (towns) in three districts, and sujialong township was established under the jurisdiction of Jiaotang district. Sujialong people's commune was established in 1958. In 1960, Benghu fishing ground was set up, belonging to Liaonan. In 1968, sujialong commune was renamed Yonghong commune. in 1970, Benghu fishing ground was changed into Benghu commune. In 1982, Yonghong commune was restored to sujialong commune. In 1984, sujialong commune was changed into sujialong Township, which governs six administrative villages and townships, and the government is stationed in sujialong. In 1984, Benghu commune was changed into Benghu township. In 1991, Benghu township government moved from Liaonan township to tuniuzui of sujialong township. From Jiaotang town on both sides of Sixia lake, 81900 mu of land, 692 households and 3567 people were allocated, and sujialong Township, 21960 mu of land, 1364 households and 6337 people were allocated to Benghu township. The water area of Benghu township is 345255 mu, 238 households and 1149 people, which are under the management of Nankang town. In 2001, Xingzi County merged the township reform, removed Benghu Township, Qingshan reclamation farm, and so on, and divided them into sujialong Township and merged them into sujialong township. In 2003, the "sujialong Township reclamation farm" under sujialong township was established. in September 2010, with the approval of the State Council, the Ministry of Civil Affairs approved the establishment of a Communist Youth City in Jiangxi Province. In November, according to the spirit of the reply, the Jiangxi provincial government officially issued the notice on the establishment of a Communist Youth City: it agreed to put sujialong Township in Xingzi County under the jurisdiction of the Communist Youth City and establish a county-level Communist Youth City. (still managed by Xingzi County) on June 11, 2016, the Communist Youth City Committee and the municipal government issued the notice on the establishment of the leading group to take over sujialong and Zequan townships and the work plan to take over sujialong and Zequan townships. It indicates that the work of Gongqing city taking over the two townships of Xingzi County has officially entered the substantive operation stage.

The township government is located in sujialong, along the Bank of sixiahu lake. During the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty, people surnamed Su built a village here. To the east of the village, a dam was built, which was named "sujialong". In the Qing Dynasty, sujialong market was formed. After all the vicissitudes, the town became increasingly prosperous, and now it has become the political, commercial and cultural center of the township. It is under the jurisdiction of Qingshan village, tuniu village, Jinlong Village, Zhulin village, Qiaopu village, Leping village, kaifushi village, Xiangshan village, Shuikou village, Daqiao village, 10 administrative villages and sujialong reclamation farm, aquatic farm and ecological forest farm.
