Huangcun Township

Huangcun township has been abolished and renamed Huangcun town.

Huangcun township is located in the north east of Hukou County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, close to the urban area of Hukou county.

Huangcun township is adjacent to shuangzhong town and Maying town in the west, Zhangqing town in the south, and the Yangtze River in the north. It is bounded by the Yangtze River in Susong County, Anqing City, Anhui Province, and liusi town and huangmaotan water production plant in the East. Besides, g530 National Road and Tongjiu railway pass through it.

With a total area of 40 square kilometers, the township governs 10 administrative villages with a population of 18000, 17000 mu of cultivated land, 3000 mu of mountain forest and 12000 mu of water surface.

According to the spirit of the document "Jiujiang Municipal People's government's reply on the removal of Hukou county's Huangcun township to establish a town" (jiufuzi [2020] No. 9), we agree to cancel Hukou county's Huangcun Township and establish Hukou county's Huangcun township. The scope of administrative region and government residence of the newly established Huangcun town remain unchanged.

On October 28, 2020, the unveiling ceremony of "removing villages to establish towns" in Huangcun was held. Zhang Nan, deputy secretary of Hukou county Party committee, Mei Mei, member of the Standing Committee of Hukou county Party committee and director of organization, attended the ceremony and jointly unveiled the boards of Hukou County Huangcun Town Committee and Hukou County Huangcun Town People's government.

Basic introduction

Huangcun township is located in the north east of Hukou County, bordering huangmaodi aquatic farm and liusi town in the East, Zhangqing Township in the south, Maying town in the west, Yangtze River in the north and Susong Jinjiang River in Anhui Province. It covers an area of about 46 square kilometers, 8 kilometers from east to West and 5 kilometers from north to south. The township government is located in the market town of Huangcun village, which is 10km away from Hukou county and 35km away from Jiujiang. The township governs 10 administrative villages, namely, Huangcun village, HuangFei village, Shuangqiao Village, Siguan village, Xinfeng village, Xishan village, Longshan Village, Xiangyang Village, Huayuan village and Xinqing Village. Figuratively speaking, there are 136 villager groups and 118 villager groups The village has 4047 households and a population of about 18000, including 3600 non-agricultural people. It has 17000 mu of arable land, 3000 mu of mountain forest and 12000 mu of water surface. It is a township with multiple industries including agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, payment and fishing.

Since 2000, the township has paid attention to the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure, taking the lead in introducing edible cactus in Huangcun village, establishing lean pig breeding base in Xiangyang Village, and planning Huanghua planting in Shuangqiao Village. In 2004, it successfully introduced foreign capital from Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, and carried out forestry development in zoujiakou, planting 300 mu of red bayberry. Drive wujialong reservoir barren mountain development 120 mu, contracted by Xishan villagers planting peach, pear, persimmon, chestnut. In 2007, 240 mu of early maturing pear was replanted in fujialong reservoir, and 850 mu of early maturing pear was developed in other new villages, gradually making early maturing pear a pillar industry.

With the opportunities brought by the industrial sector of Jinshawan, niujiaowu began to settle in the planned land for foreign enterprises in June 2005, and began to collect land. In 2007, the third phase of Jiujiang iron and steel company entered the park and started construction at the same time. In 2008, there were 12 enterprises, 2 roads and 1 building in the industrial park, occupying a total of 1829 mu. Under the correct leadership of the county Party committee and the county government, the township party committee and the government united as one, and with the help of the whole Township, completed the overall demolition work of 26 Wangjia households outside the mouth ahead of time, and completed the land use of the steel plant living area and Longda living area. At present, it is still serving steel pipe plant, PetroChina storage, coking plant and other enterprises.
