Shenquan township is located in the south of Lianhua county. It was formed in September 2003 by merging the former Shenquan Township and the former Pingli town. It is a poverty-stricken Township designated by the province. The township government is 10 kilometers away from the county seat. It is located at the junction of three counties (Yongxin, Chaling and Lianhua) in Hunan and Jiangxi provinces.
