Shiligang town is located in the southeast edge of Leping City, Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, with an area of 81.35 square kilometers and a population of 18085 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages including Nangang, Sanfang, Huyang, dianshanghu, Fengyuan, Huangwu, Baita and cangxia. The township government is located in Nangang village, 37.5km away from the urban area. Rich in forest resources, it is one of the national fast-growing and high-yield forest bases. Zhonghuang highway passes through.
Historical evolution
Therefore, the place is round ten li, the hills are continuous, and the thatch is overgrown, so it is called ten li Maogang, later referred to as ten li gang. In the old days, it belonged to the sixteen capitals of Le'an township. Before liberation, it belonged to bigang Township, and in April 1949, it belonged to bigang township of five districts (Wantou). In January 1950, it belonged to Nangang, Sanfang and Baita Township. In June 1952, it belonged to mingkou district and Dianshang township was added. At the end of 1953, Dianshang township was abolished and Fengyuan township was added. In June 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Nangang township. In June 1957, it was assigned to Zhongbu district. Mingkou commune was established in October 1958. In 1960, it was changed into Shili Maogang reclamation farm. In August 1961, it was assigned to mingkou district. In October 1962, part of the regiment was set off from Shili Maogang reclamation farm and Nangang commune was established. At the end of 1963, it was upgraded to district level, replacing the original name of Kou District. In October 1964, Liufang commune was divided into Zhongbu district. in October 1968, the district was withdrawn and the community was merged, and the jurisdiction of the venue was reduced. It was renamed Nangang commune in 1970. In November 1972, it was renamed shiligang reclamation farm. In 1984, it was changed to shiligang township. In 1997, with an area of 79.5 square kilometers and a population of 15000, it has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages, namely Nangang, Sanfang, Huyang, Dianshang, Fengyuan, Huangwu, Baita and cangxia. It is a town under the jurisdiction of Leping City, Jiangxi Province, from 200 Nangang village to 201 Sanfang village to 202 Huyang village to 203 dianshanghu village to 204 Fengyuan village to 205 Wangwu village to 206 Baita village to 207cangxia village to 500 shiligang branch to 501 Jiaoyuan branch to 502mangshan branch. It was rebuilt from shiligang township. In October 2014, with the approval of Jiangxi Provincial Department of civil affairs, shiligang town in Leping City was built. On October 23, shiligang held the unveiling ceremony of removing villages and building towns.

The trans regional Nande highway runs from Nangang market town to Dexing City; Baijun highway runs from Baita village to Zhangcun township of Dexing City through Junhu village of Dexing City. Shiligang town is an old revolutionary base. It is one of the revolutionary bases in Northeast Jiangxi during the agrarian revolution. The proletarian revolutionist Fang Zhimin once fought here. The former residence of Fang Zhimin in Huangwu preserved in the town is listed as the second batch of patriotic education bases in Jiangxi Province. in 2013, the total regional output value was 1.168 billion yuan, the total fiscal revenue was 50.42 million yuan, the fixed asset investment was 1.528 billion yuan, the task of attracting investment was 595 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 10136 yuan.
