Jiaotan town

Jiaotan town is located in the Midwest of Fuliang County, Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, between 117.3-117.5 degrees east longitude and 29.50-29.53 degrees north latitude. It has a total area of 363.5 square kilometers and a total population of 24801 (2017). It has 16 administrative villages, 2 agricultural branches and 2 forest farms. It is 37 kilometers away from Jingdezhen city and only 32 kilometers away from Jingdezhen airport. The Changjiang River runs through the town, and the second-class highway of national highway 206 runs through the whole town.

Historical evolution

At the end of the Tang Dynasty, mountain torrents broke out and washed the village stream out of a big pool. It is said that there was a dragon in the pool. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, a commercial mansion was built here, including Gaozhou Shangwu, xiawu, jiuweiwu, Chushu grottoes, firecracker tank, etc. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, a Jiaotan street was formed. The Qing Dynasty belonged to Antong township. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Fuxi Township, the Fourth District of Fuliang County. At the beginning of the people's Republic of China, the township system remained unchanged. In 1952, five townships were established, namely, Langxi, Nanxi, Jiaotan, Waijiang and Miaoqian. In 1954, 12 junior societies were formed. In 1956, they became three senior societies, Jiaotan, huzhai and Meiyuan. Wanshoushan farm of Fuliang County was established here in 1957. In 1958, it was changed to wanshoushan comprehensive reclamation farm (located in xingxiqiao, moved to Jiaotan in 1963), and in 1966, it was changed to industrial, agricultural and military reclamation farm. In 1968, Jiaotan commune was merged with Fugang commune. Wanshoushan reclamation farm was restored in 1976, belonging to Jingxi district. In 1983, it belonged to Jiaotan district. It was changed to Jiaotan Township in September 1984. Jiaotan town was built in September 1989. In 1997, it covers an area of 192 square kilometers and has a population of 12000. It governs 9 administrative villages, including huzhai, Meiyuan, Nancun, Lifang, Xinghua, qinkeng, Hongcun, Jiaotan and Waijiang. The town government is located in Jiaotan street, 20 kilometers away from the county seat. On December 8, 2000, Fugang township was abolished and transferred to Jiaotan town (GaN min Zi No. 373 reply).

Attachment: Fugang township is located in the middle of Fuliang County, on the North Bank of Changjiang River. The terrain is low in the East and low in the West. Anhui Jiangxi railway transit. Jiaotan town is located in the hilly and mountainous area of Northeast Jiangxi Province. It has a subtropical climate and is one of the key forest areas in the province. Jiaotan town has convenient transportation. It is 26 kilometers away from Jingdezhen city and only 21 kilometers away from Jingdezhen airport. Changjiang River flows through the town, Jingying expressway, national highway 206 and Anhui Jiangxi railway pass through the town. In 2001, Jiaotan town's "master plan for the construction of small towns from 2001 to 2005" was successfully passed. By 2003, a total investment of 10 million yuan was made, with a new land development area of 12000 square meters, a new construction area of 30000 square meters, and a new urban population of 600 people. The first phase of the old street reconstruction project has been completed, and the main dining streets have been installed with tap water, street lamps, sidewalks and green belts. In 2005, the third phase of the old street reconstruction project was fully started, with 30 residential buildings, covering an area of 2000 square meters and a new construction area of 6000 square meters.

From 2001 to 2005, the whole town invested 5 million yuan to rebuild 6000 square meters of dilapidated school buildings, rebuild 4 17 kilometers of township and village roads, repair 186 water conservancy facilities, connect all 16 villages in the town with telephones, build 6 mobile phone (PHS) communication base stations, covering 80% of the total area, and subsidize the masses to build 115 biogas digesters. From 2004 to 2005, Jiaokeng cement road, Hongzheng highway reconstruction and Jiaofu highway subgrade construction were completed.

In 2001, the total output value of industry and agriculture in the town was 108.2 million yuan, the total grain output was 14178 tons, 2.2 million bags of bagged mushrooms were developed, 120 mu of greenhouse vegetables were planted, the net local financial revenue was 3.057 million yuan, and the net per capita income of farmers was 2360 yuan.

In 2003, the total industrial output value of township enterprises, individual and private enterprises in the town was 77.68 million yuan, and 25 enterprises settled in two industrial parks. By 2005, 21 industrial enterprises had settled down, including Jiangxi Meihua Wood Industry Co., Ltd. and Jingdezhen del Industrial Investment Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 10 million yuan. There are 21 private enterprises in the town, whose main products are wood products processing, matches, construction, metal molds, etc. It has two industrial parks, which are the former sites of No. 602 and No. 713 factories of the former Ministry of electronic industry.
