Wenzhen town (also known as wenjiazhen) is a town under the jurisdiction of Jinxian County, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is located in the middle of Jiangxi Province, the west of Jinxian County, and the middle and lower reaches of Fuhe River. It is adjacent to Nanchang County and Fengcheng City, 40 kilometers away from Nanchang city. It is a Jiangyou ancient town with a splendid civilization history of thousands of years, known as the Pearl of Ganfu. It has jurisdiction over 15 village committees, 5 neighborhood committees and 109 village groups.

The town has been listed as the national pilot town for comprehensive reform of small towns, the National Star town for building a well-off society, civilized towns in Jiangxi Province, provincial and municipal health towns, municipal civilized towns, top 100 towns for rural economic development in Jiangxi Province, and top 100 towns for animal husbandry in Jiangxi Province.

Historical evolution

It was originally Wenzhen town of Linchuan county. In 1958, it was changed into Wenzhen commune. In 1969, it was under the jurisdiction of Jinxian county. In 1984, it was established.
