Chunchi town

Chunchi Town, belonging to Zhouning County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the north of Zhouning County, adjacent to Xiaoyang town of Fu'an City and Fengyang township of Shouning County in the East, Puyuan town and Siqiao Township in the south, Chengyuan township of Zhenghe County in the west, and Pingxi township of Shouning County in the north. The town covers an area of 204.35 square kilometers. In late 2018, the town had 23538 registered residence population.

Chunchi town was named Chunjiang in ancient times. Because there is a small hill in the main village, and there are streams on both sides, which meet beside a big tree in the ocean of Murakami. It looks like a wooden boat moored in the river, so it was named Chuanjiang, also known as Chunjiang. During the reign of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1862-1874), the name of Chunjiang was changed to Chunchi because it avoided the taboo of Mu Zong in the Qing Dynasty. In March 1963, a pure pool area was set up. In August 1966, it was renamed Chunchi commune. In 1984, Chunchi township was established. On August 8, 1995, the township was changed from township to town and set up as Chunchi town. As of June 2020, Chunchi town has a total of 18 administrative villages.

The song and Yuan Dynasties were divided into Zhenghe and Fu'an counties.

Ming Jingtai six years (1455), belongs to Shouning County. Chunchi township was established in the Republic of China.

In 1950, it belonged to the Sixth District of Shouning County (Chunchi District).

In September 1955, Chunchi was put under the jurisdiction of Zhouning County, and Liandi and Diyuan villages were set up by the first district (duanyuan).

Qianxi, originated from the source of Chunchi Town, has a drainage area of 19 square kilometers, a river length of 10.1 kilometers, and a river slope of 20.1%; Hexi, originated from shiziyan, Chunchi Town, has a drainage area of 11 square kilometers, a river length of 7.8 kilometers, and an average river slope of 31.9%. There is a tributary of Jiaoxi River, named Xubai River, which flows through Shouning Xietan and joins Fu'an Jiaoxi river.
