Lidun town
Lidun Town, belonging to Zhouning County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the southwest of Zhouning County, bordering Qibu town in the East, Xiancun Town in the southeast, limen Township in the southwest, Yangyuan Township in Zhenghe County in the northwest and Puyuan town in the north. Its total area is 86.91 square kilometers. In late 2018, Li Dun town had 16954 registered residence population.
Lidun town was called Liufeng in the Tang Dynasty. The villagers planted peach blossoms all over the mound in front of the village, also known as the northern border of Taoyuan water. It was also called Liupu and Lichun in song and Yuan Dynasties, and was renamed Lidun in 1935. In March 1963, limen commune and Lidun commune merged to form Lidun district. In August 1966, there were two communes, Lidun commune and limen commune. In April 1984, Lidun commune was withdrawn and Lidun township was established. In May 1992, the township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Lidun town has a total of 10 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
From the Song Dynasty to the early Ming Dynasty, it was part of the 17th and 18th capitals of dongyangli, Qingtian Township, Ningde county.
In 1935, it belonged to zhoudun special area.
In 1942, it was divided into Puxi and Xili townships.
In 1945, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhouning county.
In 1950, it belonged to the second and fourth districts of Zhouning county.
In 1955, the second and fourth districts merged to form Lidun district.
In August 1958, five communes were established, including Lidun, Gongchuan, Shoudong, Qiulou and limen.
In March 1963, limen commune and Lidun commune merged to form Lidun district.

Lidun town is located in the east slope of Jiufeng Mountain range, which is divided into two types: middle mountain and low mountain.
