Luxiaxiang, belonging to Pingnan County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the northwest of Pingnan County. It is adjacent to Pingcheng town in the East, Changqiao town in the South and Jian'ou city in the north to the west, covering an area of 149.39 square kilometers. In 2005, it has jurisdiction over 11 village committees, 78 villager groups and 2857 households. In 2017, there were 6393 permanent residents in the countryside.
In 2005, there were 94 industrial enterprises with a total output value of 70.6 million yuan. In 2017, there were 85 enterprises in the countryside, with 771 employees, including 53 industrial enterprises and 6 large-scale enterprises.
On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name luxiaxiang as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.

Luxiaxiang is located in the northwest of Pingnan County, adjacent to Pingcheng and rural areas in the East, Changqiao town in the south, and Jian'ou city in the north to the West. The terrain is high in the northeast and northwest, and low in the southwest, with an average altitude of 1025 meters. It has a humid climate in the middle subtropical zone, with four distinct seasons, an average annual temperature of 15.4 ℃, and a regional area of 153.6 square kilometers.

Since 1992, the township has made great efforts to develop the cultivation and breeding of edible fungi, fruits and off-season vegetables, and continued to do a good job in grain and forestry production with bamboo as the focus.
Since 2000, it has invested 1 million yuan to implement a thousand mu rice demonstration project focusing on water control and soil improvement, and to reclaim 450 hectares of Phyllostachys pubescens forest. In 2005, the total output value of agriculture was 46.75 million yuan, an increase of 598% over 1991; the output value of grain planting and forestry was 15.31 million yuan, accounting for 33% of the total output value of agriculture; and the per capita net income of farmers was 3318 yuan.

In 1991, there were 11 industrial enterprises in the countryside, with an industrial output value of 3.69 million yuan. Since then, the township has made full use of its advantages in stone and water resources, attracting 16 million yuan in total, and successively established 37 stone processing enterprises, built 3 hydropower stations with a total installed capacity of 1640 kW, and introduced 11 bamboo and wood processing enterprises.
By 2005, an industrial pattern of stone processing, water and electricity, bamboo and wood processing had been formed in the countryside. There were 94 industrial enterprises with a total industrial output value of 70.6 million yuan, 19.1 times that of 1991.

From 1992 to 1999, the teaching building, laboratory and dormitory building of luxiahuaqiao middle school were built in luxiaxiang, covering an area of 5293 square meters; the new campus of luxiacentral primary school was built, covering an area of 1.66 hectares, with a building area of 3150 square meters.

From 1992 to 1999, luxiaxiang built the East Ring Road with a length of 1 km and a width of 8 m, and paved with concrete pavement. Along the street, more than 100 residential buildings in xindaqiu and guanzhenyang residential areas were built, with a construction area of 20000 square meters, forming a new commercial and residential area.
In 2001, it raised 2.566 million yuan to build the relocation residential area of fazhukeng and Wuxi benefit project in Liyang, Guanzhen, covering an area of 2.5 hectares and a building area of 1.91 hectares.
In 2004, the 1 km long and 8 m wide concrete pavement from the gate of township government to Xinxing East Road and South Street of village Shuiwei was resurfaced; the landfill was built and the cleaning team was set up.
By the end of 2005, all the 11 administrative villages in luxiaxiang Township had opened roads, program-controlled telephone and cable TV, realizing the interconnection of power supply with the county, and 7 of them had installed tap water.
From 2000 to 2005, luxiaxiang invested 2.46 million yuan to carry out the "benefit project" for two villages, fazhukeng and Wuxi, which are in danger of landslide. A total of 165 households and 610 people moved to luxiaxin village.
