Sansha town
Sansha town is located in Xiapu County, Ningde City, Fujian Province. It is 126 nautical miles away from Keelung port and 16 nautical miles away from Mazu island. According to historical records, from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, there were garrisons in this town. Historically, it has been known as "the gateway of Funing and the key to Fujian and Zhejiang", and has been known as "the hub of Fujian and Zhejiang" and "an important coastal town" since ancient times.
Sansha town is a famous fishing ground in East Fujian Province. It is a first-class fishing port. It is one of the first four second-class ports for trade with Taiwan in Fujian Province. It is a pilot town for comprehensive reform of national small towns, a civilized town in Fujian Province, and a beautiful ecological town at the provincial level. In June 2006, the Taiwan Affairs Office approved the establishment of the first "Xiapu Taiwan aquatic products distribution center" in Sansha. In 2010, it was listed as the pilot town of comprehensive reform of small towns in Ningde City. In 2014, it was listed as a national key town.

Historical evolution
Ancient times
In Tang Dynasty, Five Dynasties and Song Dynasty, the present Sansha town belongs to zhuoxiuli, a town of persuading Confucianism. In the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to the five capitals. From Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, it belonged to five or six capitals. In 1909, Xiadong (Sansha) district was set up.

The first year of the Republic of China (1912), divided into the Middle East (Qinghao) region. In 1936, Shaao Yuqing, longqingdun Shifu and guqiutian Xiaocai were established as joint guarantors, which were subordinate to the Second District, with jurisdiction over 26bao and 269a. In 1938, it was renamed Sansha, Longtou and Gutong Lianbao respectively. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), Sansha and Gutang were merged and changed into Sansha Town, which has jurisdiction over Gutang, Yugong, Wenlou, Xi'ao, Jixian, Jishan, Zhonghua, Taoshan, Ansheng, Rongji, Wufu, Dongguan, Wuao, Sanao, Liuwan, Guzhen, Jinshan and Qingguan. Longtou joint protection and shuimenkeng joint protection are Longshui townships, with jurisdiction over Longtou, Xiaohao, Fushan, dunjian, shuimen and Yushan. In 1943, Longshui Township and Fengcheng town were merged into Sansha town. In 1945, most of the former Fengcheng town was designated as Fengping township. Sansha town has jurisdiction over Dongao, Xiao, Wuao, Zhongxin, Hushan, guhao, Fuxing, Fengyang and Chixi.
New China period
In October 1949, the establishment of Sansha town was abolished, and its territory belonged to the fourth district. In June 1952, Sansha town was set up, which is managed by the fourth district and has jurisdiction over Hushan and Guzhen. In November 1954, the island area was established. Two towns of Sansha and Guzhen belong to the island area, and the rest belong to the fourth area. In May 1955, Sansha district was set up from the island area, under the jurisdiction of 7 towns. In 1958, Sansha district was abolished and Sansha people's commune was established. In 1959, it had jurisdiction over seven brigades: Sansha, Guzhen, guhao, Hushan, Jinguan, Dongjiao and Luzhu. In May 1961, Sansha commune was restored to Sansha District, with jurisdiction over five communes, namely Sansha, Yushan, Hushan, Jinguan and guhao. In October of the next year, Yushan commune was assigned to Fuding County, and Sansha district had 4 communes and 26 brigades. In June 1966, Sansha district was divided into Sansha town. In October of the same year, Sansha district was changed into Sansha people's commune. In November 1969, Sansha town was merged with Sansha people's commune, which has 25 production teams and 189 production teams. In 1973, the first "Yuxiang" platform to enter the Chinese mainland stopped at the port of Xiapu. In 1979, the people's Government of Fujian Province set up the first reception station for Taiwan compatriots and the first berth for Taiwan ships in Sansha Town, taking the lead in carrying out small amount trade with Taiwan and export of fishermen's labor services. In November 1983, the people's commune of Sansha was renamed Sansha town. It has four streets, 27 production teams, 198 production teams and 145 natural villages.
In 1990, the administrative area of Sansha town was 63.6 square kilometers. There are four streets and centers in Xi'an, Xi'ao, Dong'ao and wu'ao, 27 administrative villages in Xi'an, Dong'ao, wu'ao, Longtou, Dongshan, Fushan, Dandou, Sanping, shitoubi, Xiaohao, Caiyang, yugongting, Gutong, Dongbi, daluding, Badou, Erkeng, Jinji, qingguansi, Huazhu, qingguanlan, Sannong, Jinyang, Fenghuo, Guzhen and san'ao, and 27 small resident villages under its jurisdiction Group, 198 villager groups, 149 natural villages. The town people's government is located at 248 Sansha central street.
In 2004, the three sand port was designated as one of the six port of Fujian Fujian express shipping pilot ports by the people's Government of the province of Fujian. In 2005, the three Sha ports were designated as the maintenance stations of the Taiwan port by the people's Government of the Fujian province. In 2006, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council approved the construction of the first Taiwan aquatic product distribution center in the Chinese mainland. .

Xiapu No.3 middle school is one of the key middle schools run by Ningde City and county. The school was founded in 1958. At the beginning of its establishment, it temporarily borrowed the "Wenchang Pavilion" staff school in Sansha, and Huang Jieqing served as the principal.
