Zhuotan town is located in the southwest of Changting, connecting Xuancheng Township in the East, Xiangdian township of Wuping County in the south, Hongshan Township in the West and Sidu town in the north. The provincial highway 205 runs through the whole town to Meizhou, Guangdong Province. The market town is 38 kilometers away from the county by the 205 line.
