Hongfang town is located in the southwest of Xinluo District, Longyan City, Fujian Province, 15 kilometers away from the district government. It has jurisdiction over 19 administrative villages. Fuzhou third line, Longmei Railway (longkan railway), Shuangyong Expressway and Yanyong highway pass through.

Hongfang town is located in the southwest of Xinluo District, Longyan City, with a total area of 92.4 square kilometers (2017), a mountainous area of 106500 Mu and a cultivated land area of 12800 mu. It is adjacent to Dongxiao town in the East, Longmen town in the northwest and Gaopi town in Yongding District in the South. The town governs 19 administrative villages with a total population of 26883 (2017).

Hongfang town has actively promoted the construction of "Three Civilizations" in rural areas, and achieved remarkable results. Historical evolution

In the Ming Dynasty, there were Chuanxiang, jiangbang, Zhenbei, Dongpu, Nanyang and other villages belonging to Huangfang society in Biaozheng, Tieshi township. From the Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China, it was the whole territory of Huangfang society. From July 18 to February 20 of the Republic of China, and from April to September 21 of the Republic of China, the Soviet government of Huangfang district was established, which governed the Soviet governments of Huangkeng, Huanggang, Nanyang, Ankang (zi'an), longxibang, Dongyang, Dongpu, Jinbei, Shangyang and Xiayang townships. In the 22nd year of the Republic of China, it belonged to Donghuang District, with jurisdiction over Zijin, Huanggang, Zhongyuan and Xianxi townships. The next year is the Fifth District. In March of the 26th year of the Republic of China, it belongs to the Second District, which governs the joint protection of Huanggang, Zijin, Zhongyuan and Xianyou townships. The next year, it was reduced to the joint protection of Huanggang, Zijin and Zhongxi townships. In December of the 30th year of the Republic of China, Zigang township was set up to govern peiguo, Ziyang, Pingyang, Beiyang, kanyang, Daoliu, Nanmin, nanzhong, Nanyang, Yumin and ankangbao; Zhongxi township to govern Xiyang, Dongpu, Rongyang, Jinbei, Dongbei, Shangyang, Shixing, Tianxin, Xiayang and zhixingbao. In 1957, Hongfang township was set up, with jurisdiction over Zhongyuan, Zijin, Huanggang, Shangyang and Tianxin villages. Hongfang commune was established in 1958. In early 1959, it was incorporated into Dongxiao commune and set up Hongfang management area. In 1960, it was a suburb commune. In 1961, it was separated from Chengjiao commune and restored to Hongfang commune. It has jurisdiction over Longxing, Youyuan, Xiayang, Zhonglian, peiguo, Baiyang, Pingyang, kanyang, Daoliu, Nanyang, Chikeng, zi'an, Donglian, Xinglian, hehe, Ziyang, Lingbei, Xiyang, Dongpu, Jinbei, Shangyang, Tianxing and Liancun 23 production teams and 154 production teams. In July 1984, Hongfang township was established. In 1987, it covers an area of 92.11 square kilometers and has a total population of 25490 people, including 4936 non-agricultural people. It governs 18 villages and 200 villager groups. The township government is located in nanyangbawei, 15 kilometers away from the urban area. The town was changed in 1988.

In 1997, it covers an area of 92.3 square kilometers and has a population of 26000. It has 19 village committees including Yang, Tianxin, Shangyang, Jinbei, Dongpu, Dongyang, longxibang, zi'an, Nanyang, daoliushui, Chikeng, Lingbei, Beiyang, kanyang, Pingyang, Lianhe, Zhonglian, Longxing and banzixie. The town government is located in Nanyang.
