Chongwu town
Chongwu town belongs to Hui'an County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. It is located in the southeast coast of Fujian Province, the boundary between the East China Sea and the South China Sea, surrounded by the sea on three sides. Chongwu town is located in the southeast coast of the county, adjacent to the Taiwan Strait in the East, Shanxia Township in the west, Xiangzhi town of Shishi City across the sea in the south, Jingfeng Township and Xiaoyi Township across the sea in the north.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was called the Fourth District in October 1949.
In July 1952, it was called the Fifth District.
On December 30, 1955, it was called Chongwu district.
In April 1958, it was called Chongwu township.
September 23, 1958 belongs to Feiyue people's commune. The urban area is Chongwu management area, and the suburb is Xiaan management area.
In September 1961, it was called Chongwu people's commune.
From 1964 to 1966, Chongwu town was set up separately.
In 1985, it was withdrawn and restored to Chongwu town.

Chongwu town is located in the east of Yanshan fault depression belt and the middle of southeast Fujian coastal metamorphic belt. The highest sea wave is 798m. The ore spot of dafaiwan covers an area of about 2 square kilometers, with an estimated reserves of 6 million tons, which is stored in the Holocene Changle formation marine sediments.
The main occurrences of peat are: houhaitan (mined in the early years), Chihu (more than 8800 tons of reserves, mined in recent years), Fenghou Beach (40000 tons of reserves). It can also be used as fuel and fertilizer.
