Xiaoao town

Xiaoao town is located in the southeast coast of Lianjiang county, Fujian Province, 18 kilometers away from Lianjiang county. It is adjacent to the Taiwan Strait in the East and Matsu across the sea, Jiangnan Town in the west, Guantou town in the South and Dongdai town in the north.

Xiaoao town now has three neighborhood committees including Xiaofeng, Xiaojiang and Xiaoxing, and four village committees including Baisheng, Daoao, Changsha and Chiwan, ranking the fourth in the county. It is an important marine fishery Town, with a shallow sea area of 86307 mu, a beach area of 15985 mu, and a cultivated area of 2500 mu. Historical evolution

Xiaoao is also called Xiaoao, Xiaowo and Xiaowo. Yonggui Li, formerly known as Yongfu township (today's Pukou town), was called Dong'ao in the 35th year of the Republic of China. After the founding of new China, it belonged to the second district (renamed Pukou District in 1955). In April 1956, it belonged to Aojiang district. In July 1958, the district was withdrawn and Xiaoao township was established. In September of the same year, the people's commune was established and merged into Pukou commune in January 1960. Xiaoao commune was restored in June 1965. In June 1984, she was removed from the town.

Natural climate

The Minjiang River, the largest river in Fujian, and the Aojiang River, the sixth largest river, converge into the sea near Zhenqian, adjacent to Baidong mountain in Qingzhi, changmen fort, Yunju mountain, chuanshidao coastal resort and the famous bonsai "Wuhu reef" in Southeast China.
