Taozhou town
Taozhou Town, belonging to Guangde City, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province, is the residence of Guangde municipal government. Its geographical coordinates are 119.41497 degrees east longitude and 30.89774 degrees north latitude. A famous town in Southeast Anhui is located in the middle of the county. In 2017, the administrative area of Taozhou town was 22400 hectares, with a permanent population of 185134.
Taozhou town connects Si'an Town, Changxing County, Zhejiang Province, and Dongting Town, Guangde city in the East, Lucun town and Baidian town in the south, Shijie Town in the west, Qiucun town and Xinhang town in the north. It is an important gateway to the Yangtze River Delta for Anhui Province and central and Western Provinces in China. Guangning road and Guangli road are provincial roads connecting north and South; National Highway 318, Xuanguang Expressway and Xuanhang railway pass through the territory, with 5 trunk roads and 22 county and township roads. Evolution of organizational system
Taozhou town follows the ancient name of the state. In the third year of Wude in Tang Dynasty (620 AD), Taozhou was established as a county. Because there were many peach trees in Taohua mountain and the flowers were blooming, it was named Taozhou. in the seventh year of Wude in Tang Dynasty (AD 624), Suian county was abolished. Since then, Taozhou town has been the seat of Guangde County, army, government, prefecture and county. Taozhou town was liberated on April 26, 1949, and Chengxiang town was set up in July, directly under the county. in March 1950, the town was abolished, and East, South, West and North passes, Rende, songguan, Jingxian, Rulin, Chongde, Shengping and Fuxing streets were set up, belonging to Chengxiang District. Yingchun and Jingping towns were built in January 1954; Chengguan town was merged in 1956; Weixing people's commune was established in 1958; Chengguan commune was established in 1961; Chengguan town was renamed in November 1965; Taozhou town was renamed with the approval of Xuancheng administrative office on February 24, 1982. It is planned to set up four residents' committees including Yingchun, Shengping, Jingxian and Fuxing, and Pingqiao villagers' committee. In 1992, the town government adjusted the neighborhood committees to eight, retaining the original names of four neighborhood committees and adding four new ones, including Hengshan, Jinlin, taozhoulu and wanguishan. In October 2001, Guangde County carried out zoning adjustment. The original Shuanghe and Qingxi townships were integrated into Taozhou town as a whole, and 24 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of the town were added, including Hongqi, Fenghuang, Zhoujia, Jingtang, Taoyuan, Zhaolian, Chang'an, Nantang, Longjing, Huayuan, Dongsheng, Dongfeng, Jianshi, CAIJIALING, Gecun, Tuanshan, Qiancun, Fengjing, Hehua, Xinghuo, Xiguan, SHANGUAN, Helu, Shiqiao, etc There are 25 administrative villages and 8 neighborhood committees. In April 2003, Guangde County carried out the work of village merging, and Taozhou town merged the original 25 administrative villages into 16 administrative villages. At the same time, six administrative villages around the merged urban area were changed into community system, and eight neighborhood committees in the original urban area were changed into five community system. In January 2005, four administrative villages, Jingtang, Taoyuan, Chang'an and Zhaolian, located in the county economic and Technological Development Zone, were merged into two communities. After the merger and adjustment, Taozhou town has jurisdiction over 6 administrative villages and 13 communities. Taozhou town now has 10 administrative villages and 16 communities, 606 villager groups and 92 resident groups. in November 2009, in order to further integrate social resources, coordinate urban and rural development, and give full play to community functions, the county Party committee and the county government decided to abolish the Jingtang and Chang'an community residents committees, which were originally under the administrative jurisdiction of the Development Zone, and to merge the two community residents committees to establish Shuanghe community residents committee, which was included in the administrative area of Taozhou Town, increasing from 26 villages and communities to 27 Village, community, administrative area increased by 6.8 square kilometers. in June 2012, in order to meet the needs of the rapid economic and social development of Guangde County and further strengthen and innovate social management, the county Party and government joint conference decided to adjust and rename some community (Village) divisions in Taozhou town. After the adjustment, Taozhou town has 16 communities and 8 village committees. by the end of 2017, Taozhou town of Guangde County will be set up as Shili Township in the west of shanguanling. before 2020, Guangde economic development zone and community villages under the jurisdiction of Cishan Hill will no longer belong to Taozhou town.

Taozhou town is located in the transition zone between the mountainous area of southeast Anhui and Langchuan plain.
