Tangtian town
Tangtian town is under the jurisdiction of Guichi District, Chizhou City, Anhui Province. The town government is located in Tangtian, 117 ° 13 ′ E and 30 ° 22 ′ n, 50 km south of the city. It is adjacent to Tongshan and Yinhui in the north, pailou in the East, Shitai River in the southeast, Zhangxi County in the south, Shengjin Lake in the West and Dadukou County in the northwest. Tangtian town is located on the Bank of Shengjin Lake. It is an important international wetland reserve and a national wildlife reserve.
The town covers an area of 138 square kilometers, with 10 villages (residents), 161 villager groups and a population of 25000. The territory is high in the southeast and low in the northwest, with hills, Polders and lakes.
Evolution of organizational system
Tangtian town is named after Tangtian. It is said that a long time ago, it was named after the homonym antonym because people filled the pond to make land. TANGTIAN township was established in the early days of liberation. Tangtian people's commune was established in 1958. It was still called Tangtian commune after merging with Wutian in 1969. TANGTIAN township was restored in 1984 when the system reform was carried out. In 2001, it was approved by the provincial people's government to withdraw the township and build a town.

Tangtian town is located on the South Bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, on the Bank of Shengjin Lake, an important wetland reserve and National Wildlife Reserve in Asia, at the junction of Guichi, Dongzhi and Shitai counties (districts), and 50 kilometers away from the center of Chizhou. It is the southwest gateway of Guichi. Tangtian town has convenient transportation and obvious location advantages. It is 20km away from national highways 318 and 206, 50km away from Chizhou port, 40km away from Anqing port, the golden waterway of the Yangtze River, and Wucha highway, the provincial highway, passes through the town. Tongjiu railway also passes through Tangtian town.

Shengjin Lake, named for the value of daily fish production in Shengjin Lake, was once called Shengjin Lake, also known as shenni lake. It is located in Dongzhi and Guichi, with a total area of 3421 hectares. It is surrounded by hills in the southeast, hills in the West and huaizhou polder in the north. The lake water is as clear as a mirror and misty with smoke trees along the lake. It is a beautiful scenery in the south of the Yangtze River. Shengjinhu Nature Reserve has mild climate, long frost free period, low population density and low environmental pollution. There are 66 species of fish, 18 species of mollusks and 62 species of aquatic and hygrophyte in the lake. The first-class national key protected animals are white headed crane, white crane, white stork, black stork, yellow billed egret, great bustard, Golden Eagle and white shoulder carving; the second-class protected animals are white naped crane, grey crane, white spoonbill, Little Swan, white geese, white tailed Harrier, kestrel, Black Kite and grass Osprey. Each year, the white headed crane and Oriental White Stork come here for wintering, accounting for one third and one eighth of the total number of wild cranes and storks in China, respectively. Therefore, Shengjin Lake was listed as a national key waterfowl Nature Reserve in 1986 and listed in the list of important wetlands in Asia in 1988, which attracted the attention of international conservation and management organizations such as the Asian wetland Bureau and the world wetland waterfowl survey. On December 25, 2015, Shengjinhu was included in the list of international important wetlands, which is the first nature reserve in Anhui Province to win the international title.
