Qiaocheng Economic Development Zone, Anhui Province

Anhui Qiaocheng economic development zone is located in Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province, formerly known as Anhui Bozhou Industrial Park, which was changed to its current name in 2014. It is the first batch of national agricultural products processing and entrepreneurship bases, the first batch of national agricultural industrialization demonstration bases, the second batch of Provincial Intellectual Property Demonstration and cultivation parks, the first batch of strategic emerging industry cluster development bases in Anhui Province, and the top ten development zones in Anhui Province. It ranks the fifth in the comprehensive assessment of national development zones in the cultivation period.

Bozhou Industrial Park was established with the approval of the provincial government in April 2006, with a planning area of 5.6 square kilometers. In July 2013, the provincial government approved the expansion of 13.07 square kilometers, with a park area of 24.89 square kilometers. The whole planning forms "one axis, two cores, three belts and five areas" in spatial layout structure. Focus on cultivating two leading industries: Traditional Chinese medicine manufacturing and labor-intensive processing industry.

On December 4, 2020, Anhui Qiaocheng Economic Development Zone won the comprehensive assessment of the development zones in Anhui Province and was commended by Anhui provincial government.

Overview of the park

The district Party committee and the district government regard the construction of Industrial Park as an important carrier of Qiaocheng's economic development and the growth pole of the total economic volume, and take the efforts of the whole district to build it. According to the idea of industry city integration, increase investment and speed up construction. By the end of 2013, 30 villages and units with an area of more than 1 million square meters have been demolished, and more than 30000 mu of land has been expropriated, realizing "seven links and one leveling", with full coverage of greening, lighting, traffic signal and electronic monitoring. The "six vertical and twelve horizontal" road network with a total length of 75 km is fully connected, integrating the park with the northern New Town, southern New District and the industrial functional zone of Shili Town, Qiaocheng district.

Park Construction

It is planned to build 8 indemnificatory housing and resettlement communities, covering an area of nearly 3.57 million square meters. There are 7 commercial and residential communities such as Evergrande City, golden city and green water home. Two schools of No.2 Middle School and No.16 middle school have been put into use. The people's Hospital of Qiaocheng district is under construction. 219 enterprises and projects have been settled in the park, including 121 enterprises in operation and 88 Industrial Enterprises above designated size. There are 86 projects under construction and 44 projects with fixed assets investment of more than 100 million yuan.

Change the name of the park

With the approval of the provincial government, the original Bozhou Industrial Park was renamed "Anhui Qiaocheng Economic Development Zone". Since then, the history of Qiaocheng Economic Development Zone has opened a new page. The upgraded Economic Development Zone of Qiaocheng district will take the opportunity to apply for the National Economic Development Zone, optimize the spatial layout, accelerate the pace of transformation and upgrading in accordance with the National Development Zone standards, and strive to build a modern new urban area with the integration of city and countryside, which is the leading area of coordinated development of industrialization, informatization, urbanization and agricultural modernization.

In 2013, the investment in fixed assets was 5.86 billion yuan, an increase of 46.9%; the operating income was 17.05 billion yuan, an increase of 44.1%; the total industrial output value was 12.87 billion yuan, an increase of 24.3%; the industrial added value was 3.28 billion yuan, an increase of 48.3%; the total import and export volume was 154 million US dollars, an increase of 45.4%; the tax revenue was 588 million yuan, an increase of 62.5%, and more than 28000 people were employed. It ranks 33 in the comprehensive evaluation of 77 provincial development parks in the province.

On December 4, 2020, the Anhui provincial government held a conference to promote the reform and innovation of development zones in Bozhou. At the meeting, Anhui Qiaocheng economic development zone was commended by Anhui provincial government for its "winning" in the comprehensive assessment of development zones in Anhui Province.
