Lianjiang town
Lianjiang town is located 30 kilometers south of Dingcheng, commonly known as the South Gate of Dingyuan county. The town is named after lianjiangba (Jiangxiang reservoir) in the territory, with southwest and northeast trend. It is adjacent to Feidong County in the south, Wuwei town and Zhangqiao town in the north, Jiangji town in the West, Erlong Hui Township in the East, and Chihe River Basin crosses the territory for more than 30 kilometers. After the merger of towns and townships in 2001 and the adjustment of administrative village division in 2007, it now has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, 1 community neighborhood committee, 253 villager groups, 210 natural villages, 24702 permanent residents (in 2017), a land area of 106.85 square kilometers and 70000 mu of cultivated land. There are two market towns Jiangxiang and Guoji, and the town government is located in Jiangxiang market town.
Located in the Yangtze Huaihe River watershed, it is a hilly landform with subtropical monsoon climate. It has four distinct seasons, pleasant climate and less rainfall. The annual average rainfall is 830 mm. There are 1 small (1) type reservoir and 14 small (2) type reservoirs distributed in the territory. There are more than 100 dammed reservoirs with a total water storage capacity of about 8 million cubic meters.

Economics
Crops are mainly rich in rice, wheat, rape, peanut, corn, a small amount of cotton, potato, beans and other cereals. Since 2005, under the guidance of the national policy of benefiting farmers, farmers' enthusiasm for growing grain has been unprecedented high. The town has 90000 mu of grain planting area, 450 kg per mu, with a total output of 40000 tons; 43000 mu of oil, 150 kg per mu, with a total output of 6450 tons; livestock, poultry and fishery breeding are more common, with an annual output of about 30000 pigs, more than 100 pigs per year, and more than 20 large breeding households, more than 1000 large breeding households There are 2 pig farms and a pig breeding association has been established. Lianjiang town has convenient transportation, extending in all directions. The provincial highway Hefei Bengbu runs through it, connecting with nearby Hefei Nanjing Expressway and Hefei Xuzhou expressway. In recent years, the "village to village" project has been vigorously implemented. Five village level gravel roads, 21 km long, and two cement roads, 5 km long, have been built. There are eight County, township and village level gravel roads, 36 km long, crisscross into a network, directly or indirectly connected with provincial roads. Jiangxiang reservoir
On May 31, 2015, the national development and Reform Commission approved the proposal for Jiangxiang reservoir project in Dingyuan County, marking that Jiangxiang reservoir project, one of the top ten key projects in Chuzhou, has officially passed the national project approval, and will become the third large reservoir in Chuzhou after the completion of the project. Jiangxiang reservoir is located in the upper reaches of Chi River in Dingyuan County, about 30 km away from Dingyuan county. It is an important anti regulation reservoir of Simashan river diversion irrigation project. The Jiangxiang reservoir project started construction in the winter of 1974, with about 1.2 million cubic meters of earth filled in the dam. It has been shut down since then due to lack of funds and other reasons. According to the official reply of the national development and Reform Commission, the main construction task of Jiangxiang reservoir project is water supply and irrigation, taking into account the comprehensive utilization of flood control. The total reservoir capacity is 122 million cubic meters, of which the flood control capacity is 15 million cubic meters, the total investment is 2.863 billion yuan, and the proposed total construction period is 30 months.
