Huangtian township is located in the center of the South Street source of Shexian county. It is the most populous Township in the deep mountain area of Shexian county. It is also a famous terrace Township in Anhui Province, with a total area of 84.54 square kilometers. The township governs 11 administrative villages and 91 villager groups.
Huangtian township is located in the hinterland of nanjieyuan County, 75 kilometers away from the county. It is connected with JIEKOU town in the East, Changxin Township in the west, Xiaochuan Township in the north and Chun'an County in Zhejiang Province in the south.

The township governs 11 administrative villages and 91 villager groups. Huangtian township is located in the hinterland of the South Street source of the county, 75 kilometers away from the county. It is connected with JIEKOU town in the East, Changxin Township in the west, Xiaochuan Township in the north and Chun'an County in Zhejiang Province in the south. The total area is 84.54 square kilometers, including 311 mu of dry land, 12323 mu of tea garden, 136 mu of orchard, 67 mu of mulberry garden, 1830 mu of bamboo garden and 124170 mu of mountain farm. There are five peaks with an altitude of more than 1000 meters in Jieyuan River, among which jiuhaolijian is 1145 meters above sea level and sanjiaojian is 1137 meters above sea level. Jieyuan river is 15 kilometers long, and its source includes Changxin River and hubuyuan river. The main minerals are fluorite, pyrite, stone coal, and a small amount of antimony.
Historical evolution
From the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Changshou township. In 1649, it belonged to the first and second pictures of the thirty capitals. In 1941, Huangtian Dayuan belonged to Changbu township of Wangcun District, and Huangwei Xiaoyuan belonged to JIEKOU town. In May 1949, Changbu township was changed to JIEKOU district. In August 1952, Huangtian Township, Tiantang Township, Xianyuan Township, Shatan Township, Huangwei Township and hubukou Township were established. In December 1955, Tiantang township was merged into Huangwei Township, Shatan Township and shimenkeng township of Changxin district were merged into hubukou Township, and Xianyuan township was merged into Huangtian township. Hubukou township was merged into Huangtian Township in November 1956, and was subordinate to Liulian (DA) commune in October 1958. Huangtian and Huangwei communes were established in January 1961. Hubukou township was separated from Huangtian Township in March 1983 and merged into Huangtian Township in March 1992. In December 2004, Huangwei township was merged into Huangtian township. In 2005, it has jurisdiction over 19 administrative villages, 132 natural villages, 152 villager groups, 6072 households and 22583 people. Among them, there are 21918 people in 6018 agricultural households. The majority of the residents are Han nationality, with 57 people from Miao, Buyi, Lisu, Yi, Hani, Zhuang, Mongolian, Bai, Yao and man nationalities. According to incomplete statistics, 1028 people were enlisted in the township from 1949 to 2005.

Jieyuan bridge, 36 meters long, was built in 1823, and Huangwei bridge, 65 meters long, was built in the winter of 1986. Baishawan and Chayuan ancient roads lead to Tunxi and Shexian County, with a length of 50 km. Huangtian section of Wangjie road was completed and opened to traffic in 1985, Huangwei road was completed and opened to traffic in 1988, and the road surface was oiled in 2004. In 2005, there were 30 farm vehicles, 4 trucks and 11 buses. Buses from Huangtian, Huangwei and hubukou to the county, Tunxi and JIEKOU run 2, 2 and 4 times a day respectively. In 1956, the telephone was opened, in 1995, the program-controlled telephone was opened, and in 2005, there were 5047 end users in the township. The mobile communication base station was established in October 2000, and 5482 mobile phone users in the township in 2005. In 1953, it was connected to the postal routes, in 1958 to the brigades, and in October 1995 to the natural villages. In 1984, the TV signal turntable was established. In 1996, the cable TV was opened. In 2005, 12 sets of TV programs were relayed, and 5619 end users were in the township. In 1988, high-voltage electricity was put on the shelves, and in 2005, 1.38 million kwh of electricity was used in the township. Since 1990, all villages have installed tap water in succession, and 5482 households in the township benefited in 2005. In 2005, 524 biogas digesters were built.

Tea income is the main economic source of the township. The output of famous and high-quality tea has increased year by year and gradually developed to non pollution and organic tea. In 2003, the output of tea in the township was 220 tons, including 130 tons of famous and high-quality tea. There are five production bases of agricultural products in the township, including 3000 mu of famous tea base, 4000 mu of pollution-free organic tea base, 500 mu of chrysanthemum base, 300 mu of medicine miscellaneous base and 100 mu of kudzu root base. The industrialization level has been continuously improved and gradually promoted to the integration of trade, industry and agriculture. In addition, nearly 100 farmers' brokers are active in the major agricultural products sales markets in China. There are more than 20 tea houses in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shandong and other places, among which Liulian tea factory, Huiming tea factory and wugongling tea factory have good business performance. Relying on the Agricultural Technology Extension Center, the middle school and the village farmers' culture and technology school as the training position, and the agricultural science and technology demonstration park as the demonstration base, the township has established an agricultural technology extension system. There are four science and technology demonstration parks, including pollution-free organic tea, morning tea, Shanwu agriculture and courtyard bonsai, and one farmer and organic tea professional cooperative. The agriculture of Huangtian township is mainly tea forest, supplemented by animal husbandry. In 2005, the output of grain was 783 tons, oil 86 tons, tea 535 tons, cocoon 4 tons, fruit 114 tons, and the total agricultural output value was 41.7314 million yuan. Among them, the output value of forestry is 2.99 million yuan and that of animal husbandry is 15 million yuan. In 2005, there were 11 industrial enterprises with 99 employees and a total industrial output value of 6.75 million yuan. The total rural economic income of the township is 102.56 million yuan, the net rural economic income is 32.49 million yuan, and the fiscal and tax income is 461000 yuan. The total output of labor services in the township is 6000, the labor income is 35 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers is 2611.88 yuan. In 2007, the total rural economic income of Huangtian township was 132.18 million yuan, the financial income was 681000 yuan, the investment was 4.755 million yuan, the total economic income of tea was 24 million yuan, the total savings of farmers was 90.48 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 3764 yuan. There are more than 6000 migrant workers in the township, with an annual income of 48.655 million yuan.

New rural construction
Liulian early tea base with an area of 500 mu was built to introduce the new variety "Fuyuan No.7"; wugongling organic tea base with an area of 1244 Mu was built, which was named as the "three increase" demonstration project by the County Finance Bureau in 2004. In 2005, it won the title of "national agricultural standardized organic tea demonstration area". 30 rural roads of 25 kilometers have been hardened, 86 new bridges have been built, of which the longest is 65 meters; 9 TV differential transmission and front-end facilities have been installed, and 9 mobile and Unicom communication base stations have been installed; an investment of 1.468 million yuan has been made to build a teaching complex of 7215 square meters; an investment of 480000 yuan has been made to build a rural health center outpatient building and residential building. 6394 new houses and commercial houses have been built successively, of which 330 have been built in Huangtian, where the township is located, forming a highway commercial street, with 13 street lamps, 25 garbage pools and more than 60 shops. Home of organic tea
Located in the mountain area of Shenan, the unique Mountain Microclimate, soil conditions and species resources provide superior natural conditions for the production and development of organic tea.
