Huhe town

Huhe town belongs to Dangtu County, Maanshan City, Anhui Province. It is a millennium old town, formerly known as hujiadun. Hujiadun has a history of more than 1600 years. It was named after Liu Jiao, the king of Chu and Yuan Dynasties in the Han Dynasty, and Liu Yu, the emperor of gaozuwu in the Song Dynasty, fought a decisive battle with Lu Xun, the leader of the uprising army before he became emperor. The town lies between Jiangning national technology development zone and Wuhu National Development Zone, and is located in the north of DAGONGWEI, the first polder in South Anhui. It extends to Dalong Township in the East, Shiqiao Town in the south, Taibai town and Daqingshan in the west, and Gushu town in the north.

Historical evolution

Huhe town is an ancient town with a history of thousands of years. It is said that when Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty Liu Xiu started his army, he rode alone through the town and was rescued by the local people, so he named it "hujiadun".
