Xinglin street was originally under the jurisdiction of Xinglin district. In August 2003, Xiamen city implemented the adjustment of district level administrative division, and set Haicang District from Xinglin forest area, and put Xinglin street under the jurisdiction of Jimei District. With a total area of 24.7 square kilometers, the district has 8 neighborhood committees in Ningbao, Zhizhi, zengying, Xingbei, Gaopu, Xinglin, Xiting and neilin, with a total population of 88152 (2010). The street Party Working Committee has 100 Party organizations, including 1 Party committee, 7 general Party branches, 92 party branches and 1995 party members. Historical evolution
In the third year of Jin Taikang and 282 ad, Jin'an county was established as Tong'an County, which was abolished in that year. It was not until more than 600 years later that the county system was established again: in 933, the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms of Min state officially established Tong'an County, including Xiamen City, Tong'an County, Jinmen county and part of Longhai. In 886, Wang Chao conquered Quanzhou as a governor. In 947, the Southern Tang Dynasty annexed the state of min, and Tongan was ruled by Wang Chao and the state of min, which lasted for 61 years. In 909, the first year of Kaiping, Wang Shenzhi was the king of Fujian. He established the state of Fujian, with Fuzhou as its capital and Datong Chang as its jurisdiction. In 949, the Southern Tang Dynasty promoted Quanzhou to Qingyuan Army (jurisdiction of Quanzhou, Putian, Zhangzhou). In 1984, it was integrated into Xinglin street. In 1997, with an area of 26.7 square kilometers and a population of 30000, it has jurisdiction over 11 neighborhood committees including Wenhua, textile, Dongfeng, zengying, sanxiu, Xingbo, Ridong, Longquan, Baihe, Xingtang and Xingdi. In 2003, it was assigned to Jimei District. after the establishment of Xingbin street in 2004, three communities, namely Risheng, sanxiu and Xingdi, have been designated from Xinglin street and four administrative villages, namely Xiting, neilin, Xinglin and Gaopu, have been designated from Xingbin street. After the adjustment of administrative divisions, Xinglin Street governs Ningbao, Zhizhi and zengying communities and Xiting, neilin, Xinglin and Gaopu villages.
