Xiagezhen

The origin of place names

Textual research "Ying's" genealogy. In the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty, the ancestors moved from Yongkang and lived in Xiajiao, which got its name because there was a rock under the village that looked like a dragon horn. Xianju county annals of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty also recorded it as Xiajiao. It is said that Ying Dayou, the Minister of punishment of the Ming Dynasty, built a mansion in his hometown, hence the name. After liberation, it was simplified to Xiage. It's more than a thousand years old. In history, it was called Xianju granary.

In xiagezhen, the ancestors were yingjieyan and yingfuyan.

Xiagezhen has fertile and flat land, crisscross irrigation and drainage canals, high level of farming mechanization and superior agricultural production conditions. It is the main grain producing area of Xianju. Its characteristic agricultural products include yangpengtou cherry, Dongkui waxberry, Tangtou mushroom, Xianju xingshuimi pear, pollution-free green vegetables, Xiankang brand animal husbandry products, etc.

"Gexian" brand fruit base is located at the foot of the northern foot of the middle part of Kuocang mountain range with an altitude of 1382.4 meters, which is one of the four impact plains in Xianju. Dense pear

Honey pear is one of the main fruit industries in Xiage, mainly distributed in the southeast of Xiage. Honey pear has thin skin, fine meat, no sand, crisp and sweet, sugar content of 15.8%. The fruit is nearly oval, green and yellow, with slight red halo on the sunny side, and the fruit size is small (about 60-95g on average). The fruit surface is smooth, the fruit spots are small and dense, and the skin is thin. The flesh is crisp, juicy, sweet, white, fragrant and of high quality. It can be stored until May to June next year. Vigorous growth, tall plant, 7 years or so began to bear fruit, axillary flower buds, fruiting ability, high yield, fruit mature in the middle and late September.

Loquat

Loquat belongs to Rosaceae loquat plants, like warm and humid climate. Loquat blossoms in autumn and winter, and ripens in late spring and early summer. Its flesh is soft and juicy, sweet and sour. It is a treasure of fruit in off-season. The main producing areas of loquat in our town are yangpengtou, Xijiao and other places. Loquat is rich in nutrition and delicious. It contains 7g carbohydrate, 0.4g protein, 0.8g crude fiber, 22mg calcium, 0.3g iron, 1.3mg carotene, 36mg phosphorus and 3mg ascorbic acid per 100g pulp. The content of carotene and phosphorus is higher than that of litchi, pineapple, banana and citrus.

Myrica rubra
