Gouqi town

Wolfberry township is a township under the jurisdiction of Shengsi County in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang province. It is located in the northeast of Zhoushan archipelago, the second largest island in Shengsi county. The whole village has 5 villages, Longquan, wonder, Dongsheng, Gan Xie and Risi. At the end of 2019, the registered residence population was 7942.

Gouqi township is a key fishery township. There are 153 fishing boats in the township, with a mussel breeding area of 15300 mu. The industrial pattern is mainly mussel intensive processing. In 2001, it was named "the hometown of mussels in Zhejiang Province" by the provincial marine fishery bureau, and in 2002, it passed the evaluation of the provincial ten thousand mu mussel breeding demonstration park. On August 22, 2011, the Ministry of agriculture identified gouqi township as a national demonstration village (mussel).

Gouqi island is an important part of Shengsi archipelago, a national scenic spot. The island is rich in tourism resources, unique landscape and infinite charm of human landscape. There are 10 scenic spots such as "mountain and sea wonders", "sea Ranch" and "Little West sky", one of the nine summer resorts in Zhejiang Province, and the most beautiful island in Zhejiang in 2014.

The infrastructure construction has been increased year by year, and efforts have been made to build a unique charming "blue sea pastoral Island beautiful wolfberry". A number of major projects, such as sanjiaojiang bridge, GanXie traffic wharf, seawater desalination plant, Island Road, fishing Wharf in villages, military and civilian cultural comprehensive square, have been completed one after another.
