Historical evolution
Shanghua street belongs to jiangyangli of Ziyan Township and qingjiangli of Hengshan Township in Tang and Song dynasties. The late Qing Dynasty was Congshan district. In the 23 years of the Republic of China, Lanxi experimental county government merged towns and townships. After the original village was reorganized into Baojia, it belonged to the joint office of township offices in Congshan District, with 12 townships under its jurisdiction, including Jiaohu, Qianhe, Fenglin, Jixi, Lutan, Hengshan, Houhe, Yutang, Ziyan, Lianhua, Dayou and Guxi. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, Wantan district was established, with jurisdiction over 12 townships, including Banqiao, Zhangli, Gongxi, Lingdong, Fangxi, Xinzhou, Dama, Huiqiao, Huangjia, Zhongwu, Xiayu and yatan. In October 1957, Banqiao, Lingdong, Xiayu and Huangjia were merged into four townships (Banqiao and Lingdong are now Lingdong townships). In November 2003, magongtan community of Chengnan street was established.
