Yuyuan Township

Yuyuan township is located in the Midwest of Wuyi County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, 20 kilometers away from the county. It borders Wangzhai town in the East, tanhong Township and Xinzhai town in the south, Taoxi town in the west, and Baimu Township in the north. The song line on the provincial road runs through the north and south, with a total area of 64.6 square kilometers. It governs 21 administrative villages and 93 natural villages. 4312 households with 8509 people (in 2017).

There are more than 10 species of national second and third grade rare tree species in the township, more than 300 ancient trees with more than 100 years old, and 9 well preserved ancient trees, with an average age of more than 150 years and an area of nearly 80 mu. There are a variety of rare animals, such as owl, yellow deer and so on, as well as a large number of insect resources and a variety of birds, snakes and so on. Yuyuan township was divided into Yuyuan and Fanchuan townships in 1950. It was called Yuyuan Township after the merger of the two townships in 1956, people's commune after 1958, and Yuyuan Township in 1983. at the end of 2004, there were 4070 households and 11406 households in the township, with a population density of 176 people / square kilometer.
