Tongyuan Township
Tongyuan Township, belonging to Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is 25 kilometers away from the urban area. It is located in xibaishan District, southwest of Shengzhou City, adjacent to Shihuang town in the East, Changle Town in the south, Zhuji City in the West and Yahuang Township in the north.
The township covers an area of 42.89 square kilometers (2017) and has a population of 4893 people (2017). It has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages. The township government is located at 53 Gangxia village.
In July 2019, Tongyuan township will be abolished, and its area is now under the
Shihuang town
.
Geography
Tongyuan township is located in xibaishan District, southwest of Shengzhou City, 25 kilometers away from the urban area, adjacent to Shihuang town in the East, Changle Town in the south, Zhuji City in the West and Yahuang Township in the north. Because mountains and streams flow through Shanxi, it is named Tongyuan. Tongyuan township was established in 1932, and it belonged to Shanyuan township at the beginning of liberation. In January 1950, Tongyuan township was set up separately. In October 1958, Tongyuan management area of Changle people's commune was established. In November 1961, Tongyuan people's commune was established. In December 1983, Tongyuan township was changed. By the end of 2002, it had an area of 44.18 square kilometers, 13 administrative villages, 2140 households and 6222 people. At the end of 1999, it had a population of 6442 and an area of 44.18 square kilometers. At the end of 2005, it covers an area of 44.18 square kilometers and has a population of 60000. The rural economic structure is dominated by Phyllostachys pubescens, tea and Torreya grandis. Among them, there are 16800 mu of Phyllostachys pubescens, with an annual output of 1500 tons. The output value is about 900000 yuan based on 600 yuan per ton. The tea garden is 21000 mu, with an annual output of 4300 tons, and the output value is about 43 million yuan based on 10000 yuan per ton. There are more than 4043 Torreya grandis trees with more than 100 years old. The area of Torreya grandis in the township is 9850 mu, of which 2200 Mu are cultivated in three-dimensional way. The annual output of green fruits is 500 tons, and the annual output value is 25 million yuan based on 25 yuan per catty (200 yuan per catty, 42 million yuan based on fried dried fruits).
