Xilong Township

Xilong township is located in the northeast of Anji County, covering an area of 32.3 square kilometers (2017), with cultivated land area of 11278 Mu and mountain forest area of 14700 mu. It has jurisdiction over 6 administrative villages, 76 villager groups and 8655 people (in 2017). It is a small township with half mountain and half plain. Located in the subtropical climate zone, warm and humid, four distinct seasons. The annual average temperature is 15.43 ℃, the annual rainfall is 1496 mm, the three indexes of the atmosphere all reach the first grade standard, and the water quality standard reaches the first grade. With convenient water and land transportation, 11 provincial roads and Xitiaoxi pass through the territory. Rich resources, rich in Anji white tea and construction sand.

On August 22, 2011, Xilong township (Anji white tea), Anji County, Zhejiang Province, was selected as the first batch of national "one village, one product" demonstration villages and towns.

In September 2018, the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas and the Ministry of Finance approved Xilong township to carry out the demonstration construction of a strong agricultural town.

After years of efforts, it has become Anji's industrial and economic Township, Huzhou's efficient agricultural township, and China's famous white tea township. In 2004, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the township reached 550 million yuan, including 364 million yuan of industrial output value above Designated Size, a year-on-year increase of 76.8%, and 60 million yuan of white tea industry, a year-on-year increase of 33%. In 2004, 76.6 million yuan was invested in the technological transformation, 58.5 million yuan in domestic investment and 1.51 million US dollars in foreign investment. Agricultural industrialization was further accelerated. We will actively build an efficient ecological agricultural product base for 10000 mu of white tea and 1000 mu of flowers and seedlings, and promote the adjustment of industrial structure. Relying on science and technology, focusing on brand and strengthening service, efforts are made to improve the white tea industry. 13 white teas have won the registration certificate and the gold medal of Tea Expo. Promote the degree of agricultural organization, add a white tea professional cooperative, increase investment in agriculture, and spend more than 3 million yuan on the construction of farmland water conservancy and agricultural support throughout the year. The tertiary industry service industry has further expanded. We have completed the conceptual tourism development plan of Huangdu white tea park, carefully packaged the existing projects of shangmakan site and huangjiayang hot spring, which are the first sites of Paleolithic Archaeology in Zhejiang Province, and actively carried out tourism investment. The water transportation industry has developed rapidly, and its output value reached 50 million yuan in 2004.

In the past five years, the industrial output value of Xilong Township with only 8556 people has doubled to 1.568 billion yuan, and its financial revenue has quadrupled, from 20 million yuan to nearly 80 million yuan, ranking among the top 15 townships in the county.

Development history

During the Eighth Five Year Plan period, Xilong township was rated as the provincial advanced township of family planning. In 1985 and 1992, a middle school teaching building and a dormitory building were built, with a total investment of more than 400000 yuan. In 1992, the construction of the polder control project was completed, with 262000 cubic meters of earthwork and a total investment of 2.6 million yuan. In 1994, Xilong Township won the "one gold, four silver and one copper" in the "eight cup" competition, which was accepted by Anji county Party committee and people's Government of the Communist Party of China, ranking second in the county; cable TV was opened, and the township's financial investment was 150000 yuan. A total of 1.8 million yuan was invested to complete the Kangzhuang project in three villages, and all the roads leading to the villages were hardened. The benefits of CCTV and drinking water for farmers are expanding. More than 600000 yuan has been invested to complete the transformation of the TV network in the whole Township, with 90% of the closed-circuit TV households entering. The "drinking water project for 100000 farmers" was launched, with 95% of tap water entering households. Ecological construction was carried out in a down-to-earth manner. The ecological environment protection has been strengthened, the rural domestic waste transfer station has been expanded, Hengshan and Huangdu villages have passed the acceptance of county-level ecological villages, and Xilong township has been named "Provincial Ecological township" by the provincial government.

Shangmakan site

Shangmakan site is a simple Paleolithic culture. 45 pieces of Paleolithic specimens were obtained by digging 18 square meters. The main raw materials of stone products are quartz sandstone and sandstone. Choppers, stone balls and pickaxes are common. The production process of stone tools is primitive and rough. The hammering method and turning method are basically used in the chipping technology, and the hammering method is used in the repair of stone tools. The stone products are bulky, with a length of more than 80 mm and few specimens less than 50 mm. They belong to the South Paleolithic gravel stone culture, which is a major breakthrough in Paleolithic Archaeology in our province.

The discovery of shangmakan Paleolithic cultural site fills the gap of Paleolithic Archaeology in Zhejiang Province, and advances the history of human beings in Zhejiang Province to more than 100000 years ago. It is the first Paleolithic cultural site with clear stratigraphic accumulation, distinctive age characteristics and well preserved condition found in our province.

Huangdu white tea base

In April 1998, Family Planning Association of Xilong Township, city, county and Huangdu village jointly invested 100000 yuan to build a 17 Mu white tea base in Huangdu village. After eight years of hard work, the base has achieved good social and economic benefits. White tea was awarded the international gold medal in 1999, 2000 and 2001. At the same time, white tea base has been listed in Zhejiang pollution-free white tea base and Anji agricultural sightseeing park scenic spots by Provincial Department of agriculture and county government. In April 2002, the opening ceremony of the first "China White Tea Festival" was held in the base, which made Xilong township a famous white tea town in China.
