The registered residence of the mountain village, belonging to the Fengning Manchu Autonomous County of Chengde City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of the Manchu Autonomous County of Fengning, the west of the central part of the Manchu Autonomous County, the East and the adjacent towns, the south is adjacent to the five road villages, the southwest is connected with the three Sichuan villages of Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou, the west is connected with the big beach town, the north is connected with the small dam village, the area is 274.58 square kilometers, and as of the end of 2018, the household registration population is 4190.
The first year of the Republic of China (1914), is the Second District of Fengning County. In October 1949, it belonged to shanghuangqi District of Fengning County. In June 1984, the commune was abolished and the cave mountain township was rebuilt. In July 1986, it was changed into konglongshan Manchu Township. In January 1989, it was restored as a cave mountain township. As of June 2020, the township has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages.
In 2011, the financial revenue of KULONGSHAN Township reached 6.099 million yuan, an increase of 16.4% over the previous year. The local public budget revenue was 4.338 million yuan, an increase of 9% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 822.05 yuan.

In January 1947, it belonged to Lama mountain area of Dage county.
In November 1948, it was located in the cave mountain area of Fengning County.
In October 1949, it belonged to shanghuangqi District of Fengning County.
In May 1956, konglongshan township was built.
In May 1958, konglongshan township was withdrawn and merged into Xiaobazi township.
In January 1959, it belonged to Xiaobazi commune.
In July 1961, kuolongshan commune was established.
In June 1984, the commune was abolished and the cave mountain township was rebuilt.
In July 1986, it was changed into konglongshan Manchu Township.
In January 1989, it was restored as a cave mountain township.

At the end of 2011, KULONGSHAN Township governs 7 administrative villages, including KULONGSHAN, xiheishanzui, ganshigou, wuyuanwai, maohaqi, wangjiaying and Gaolou, with 43 villager groups.
As of June 2020, the township has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages. The Township People's government is stationed in konglongshan village.

Konglongshan township is located in the west central part of Fengning Manchu Autonomous County, adjacent to Tucheng town in the East, wudaoying Township in the south, Sandaochuan Township in Chicheng County of Zhangjiakou City in the southwest, datan town in the West and Xiaobazi Township in the north, covering an area of 274.58 square kilometers.

Konglongshan township is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Xiaoliangshan, the highest peak, is located in xiheishanzui village in the west, with an altitude of 2206 meters; lamashankou, the lowest point, is located in Gaolou village in the southeast, with an altitude of 887 meters.

The river course in KULONGSHAN Township belongs to Chaohe River Basin. The largest river in the township is lamashanxigou river. From badian to the east of Gaolou village, it flows through xiheishanzui, ganshigou and KULONGSHAN village, with a length of 29.3 kilometers and a drainage area of 20 square kilometers.
