Characteristic industry
Lvshan township is a traditional Hu sheep breeding area in the county. There are more than 30000 Hu sheep in the township, and the production value of Hu sheep in the township reaches 14 million yuan. It is an excellent Hu sheep breeding base. However, due to the influence of traditional breeding habits, Hu sheep breeding in this township is mainly based on Farmers' mowing and scattering, which has the characteristics of large number and farmers, but it has not formed industrialized management. Most sheep farmers breed Hu sheep by means of self breeding or team replacement, resulting in serious situation of Hu sheep inbreeding, resulting in some Hu sheep becoming smaller and growing slowly At the same time, many sheep farmers can not expand the scale of production because they can not find good sheep breeds, and too many rams also directly affect the economic benefits of Hu sheep breeding.
Therefore, Lvshan Township specially introduced high-quality breeding sheep from other places, and successfully implemented artificial insemination, which found a good way to improve the quality of Hu sheep and increase breeding efficiency. With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the demand for mutton and other meat has also increased year by year? At the same time, it has also played a role in promoting the price of breeding sheep? Sheep farmers have also sprouted the intention to expand the scale of breeding. The Deputy township head in charge of agriculture calculated such an account for the reporter. The price of sheep in the market is 1200 yuan / 100 kg, while the price of mutton sheep is about 600 yuan / 100 kg. The price has more than doubled. According to the market in 2004, it can increase farmers' income by about 1.12 million yuan.
