Dailing She nationality township is an ethnic township under the jurisdiction of Cangnan County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is located on the edge of Cangnan County, bordering Jiayang Township, Fuding City, Fujian Province in the West and Shacheng Town, Fuding City in the south. The township government is located in Donggong village, 50 kilometers away from the county seat, with a total area of 20.32 square kilometers (2017). There are many mountains in the territory. In the north, there is heding mountain with an altitude of 989.5 meters. 78 provincial highway runs through the north and south of the rural area. The landform is inclined from northwest to Southeast.

Historical evolution
In the Qing Dynasty, dailing belonged to the 54 capitals of Zhaoshun Township, Pingyang County. In 1911, Pingyang County was divided into autonomous regions. After the founding of the Republic of China, along the three years of Xuantong, dailing still belonged to Pumen township. In 1928, Pingyang County formulated the system of District, street and village. In 1929, it was changed to a village. In 1930, it became a township. In June 1932, Pumen district was changed into the Sixth District, under the jurisdiction of dailing, Yunshan and other 32 towns. In 1938, dailing township was abolished and belonged to Kunnan district (the Sixth District was renamed). In 1940, dailing belonged to Mazhan township (later changed to town) of Fanshan district (renamed as Kunnan District). In 1943, it belonged to Mazhan Town, which was renamed as Fanshan district. In 1946, it belonged to Mazhan Town, Pumen district (renamed Mazhan District), until liberation.
Dailing was liberated in April 1949 under the jurisdiction of Pumen district. On July 1, 1950, Pumen district was renamed Mazhan District, under the jurisdiction of Mazhan district.
In June 1952, Mazhan town was divided into Mazhan Town, dailing Township and kengmen township. Dailing Township governs Daixia, Daiding and fuzhang three administrative villages; kengmen Township governs kengmen, yunzha and Yunshan three administrative villages.
In March 1956, small townships merged with big townships, dailing Township and kengmen Township merged into dailing Hezuo Township, and the three administrative villages of kuaiqiaotou, houruan and xiafeng in Mazhan town were under the jurisdiction of Hezuo township.

In July 1969, the Pingyang County Revolutionary Committee approved the establishment of the dailing people's commune Revolutionary Committee. In 1970, the party core group of the commune Revolutionary Committee was established.
In November 1977, the Management Committee of dailing commune was restored and the reform committee of dailing commune was renamed the Management Committee of dailing people's commune.
In October 1981, the State Council approved the establishment of Cangnan County from Pingyang County. Dailing commune was under the jurisdiction of Cangnan County.
On May 3, 1984, Cangnan County People's Government (1984) No. 71 decided to cancel the people's commune, restore the township system, change the name of Dongfeng Village to Donggong village, and restore dailing she township.
In May 1992, Cangnan county Party committee and county government implemented the policy of withdrawing districts, expanding towns and merging townships. Dailing she township system remained unchanged and was directly under the jurisdiction of the county people's government.
Dailing She nationality township is an old revolutionary base. During the second Civil Revolutionary War, dailing took the lead in setting up the poor peasant League, actively carrying out the rent and interest reduction and the revolutionary struggle against rent, debt, grain, tax and so on. It was brutally suppressed by the Kuomintang government. In fuzhang village alone, 124 houses were burned, 52 households and more than 220 people were homeless. There are 43 revolutionary martyrs in the township. In February 1982, dailing township was approved by Wenzhou Civil Affairs Bureau as an old revolutionary base during World War II.
