Dalan town is under the jurisdiction of Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province. It covers an area of 63.47 square kilometers (2017) and has a population of 11268 (2017). In 2001, the village level administrative region was adjusted to 14 administrative villages. The town government is located in dingjiafan village, 315444. In 1912, < I > (the first year of the Republic of China) < / I > the township was established, and in 1983, the town was established.

Dalan town is located in the heart of Siming Mountain. It is one of the birthplaces of Yaojiang River, Caoejiang River and Fenghua river. It is known as "the highest mountain platform and the source of clear water". Dalan was originally named Dalan, but later it was named Dalan because of the high mountains and heavy fog. There are many scenic spots, such as red water in Danshan, Sichuangyan and Heilongtan. Li Bai, Liu Changqing, PI Rixiu and other poets left many immortal works. Dalan is 40 kilometers away from Yuyao, and the provincial highway Huxi runs through the whole town. In the war years, it was the red revolutionary base of the whole country; in the peace years, it was the hometown of China's high mountain Yunwu Tea and a famous scenic spot. Dalan town is located in the hinterland of Siming Mountain, the source of Yaojiang River, 45 kilometers south of Yaocheng city. It is named after Dalan mountain.

Dalan town government is located in dingjiafan village. The territory is connected with Yin County in the East, Shangyu in the west, Simingshan town in the south, Lianglong town and luting Township in the north. With an average altitude of 550 meters, it governs 14 administrative villages, including daimi village, Dalan village, Yazhuang village, dingjiafan village, daluxia village, Huangjiazhuang village, Yindi Longtan Village, Huashan village, Dayu village, Xinlan village, Nanlan village, Houzhu village, Shilin village and Shangma village, 1 Dalan neighborhood committee and 67 natural villages. A total of 112000 Mu forest area, mainly producing tea. The tea garden covers an area of 25000 mu. The terrain and geomorphology in the territory are very special, with steep mountains and deep valleys around and flat hills and slopes in the middle. It is a Typical Alpine platform. There are 42 main streams with an area of more than 15 square kilometers in the town.
Historical evolution
Dalan has a long history. Dalan town has been a Taoist resort since ancient times. It has a deep mountain and a beautiful environment. There were many alchemists and fairies who left their footprints here in the past dynasties. It has a close relationship with Dalan mountain.
In the Neolithic age, our ancestors lived and produced here, creating ancient civilization for the Chinese nation.
During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, Dalan was the jurisdiction of the Warring States period and the Chu state.
In the 24th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (223 B.C.), Wang Jian, the general of Qin Dynasty, pacified the land of Chu and set it up as Chu county. Dalan was in Chu county.
In the 25th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty, Wang Jian established Kuaiji County by abolishing Chu county and replacing it with Dalan county.
In the 26th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221 BC), Qin destroyed six countries and implemented the system of prefectures and counties. The whole world was divided into 36 prefectures, and the jurisdiction of Dalan was the same as that of Kuaiji.
In the 37th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (210 B.C.), the first emperor visited Zhejiang Province to Kuaiji. Together with his officials, he divided the terrain of eastern Zhejiang Province and set up counties in eastern Zhejiang Province. Yuyao county was established as Kuaiji county and Dalan County as Yuyao county.
The Han Dynasty, the Three Kingdoms and the Jin Dynasty remained unchanged.
Sui Pingchen, combined Yuyao, Yin, Chen three counties into jurzhang County, Da LAN belongs to jurzhang county.
In 621, jurzhang county was abolished and Yuyao county was copied. Dalan still belonged to Yuyao county.
In the first year of Tang Zhenguan (627), there were ten Daos in the whole country. Dalan belonged to Yuyao County, Yuyao County belonged to Yuezhou, and Yuezhou belonged to Jiangnan Road.
In the 26th year of Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty, Yuyao County belonged to the south of the Yangtze River, while Dalan County remained unchanged.
In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), Mingzhou was changed into Yuyao County, and Dalan was subordinate to Yuyao county.
From the 11th year of Tang Tianbao to the first year of Qianyuan (758), Mingzhou was copied, Yuyao county still belonged to Yuezhou, and Dalan still belonged to Yuyao county.
During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Yuyao County belonged to the state of Wu and Yue, and Dalan's ownership remained unchanged.
In 978, the state of Wu and Yue was subordinated to the Northern Song Dynasty, and Yuyao county was still subordinate to Yuezhou.
In the first year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty, Shengyue Prefecture was Shaoxing Prefecture, Yuyao county was subordinate to Shaoxing Prefecture, which remained unchanged in yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, and Dalan town was still Yuyao county.
In the Tang and Song Dynasties, Xiang, Li, Du and Bao systems were established. Yuyao county was divided into 15 townships outside the city, and now Dalan town belongs to baiyuli, Siming township.
In the Yuan Dynasty, Dalan belonged to the 12th and 13th map of the third capital of Siming Township, Yuyao county.
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Dalan belonged to the ninth and tenth Li, the third capital of Siming Township, Yuyao county.
In 1912, the government system was abolished and Yuyao county was directly under the military government of Zhejiang Province. The county is divided into 43 townships, and Dalan is Nanlan township.
In the three years of the Republic of China, kuiji road was set up in Yuanning, Shaoxing and Taidao. Yuyao county belongs to kuiji Road, and Nanlan Township belongs to Yuyao county.
In the 16th year of the Republic of China, the system of Daoism was abolished, and it still exists.
In the 17th year of the Republic of China, there were seven districts and 163 townships in the county. Nanlan township was divided into Huazuo Township, Lanfeng Township, Mingshan Township and Ganlu Township, belonging to the Second District of Yuyao county.
In the 21st year of the Republic of China, Yuyao county was subordinate to the office of the county inspector of the fifth special economic zone of Zhejiang Province.

In the 29th year of the Republic of China, the county was divided into eight districts, 55 townships and 10 township level towns. Dalan town is still Nanlan Township, belonging to Liangnong District of Yuyao county.
In the 37th year of the Republic of China, Yuyao county was subordinate to the second office of the Commissioner of administrative supervision, while Nanlan Township remained unchanged.
In January 1948, the people's government was formally established, known as shengxinfeng people's government. Nanlan Township, Dalan District, is located in the di Mu Hall of guanxia village.
On May 23, 1949, Yuyao was liberated, and the people's Government of Yuyao county was established in June, which was subordinate to Ningbo special district. Nanlan Township still belonged to Liangnong District of Yuyao county. When Nanlan township was established in May 1949, there were 24 administrative villages (named Bao at that time): Dayu, Huangjiazhuang, Zhiling (2), Xilingxia, shigu, dragonfly hill, taojiakeng (lianbanling), chengshansi, Fenshuiling, Ganzhu, Shangma, Dalu (liandachen), guanxia (lianlaowuji), Yazhuang (2), Houzhu (2), Sifeng, Qiuzhuang, Lukeng, xiajialing, yujiaheng, etc Huashan, dayuanji.
In April 1950, Nanlan township was divided into three townships: Nanlan, Dalan and Xinlan, still belonging to Liangnong district. Nanlan township is located in Xilingxia village, Dalan township is located in Qiuzhuang village, Xinlan township is located in Dachen village.
In 1954, some rural areas were adjusted, and Nanlan, Dalan and Xinlan remained unchanged.
In February 1956, the District Office of the whole county was abolished. Nanlan, Xinlan and Dalan townships were re merged and renamed Dalan township. The Township People's Committee was stationed in Taizu Temple of dingjiafan (the seat of the town government). Qianlukeng village was designated as Xiaoyun township.
In October 1958, the county implemented the people's commune system, and Dalan township was renamed Dalan commune. The commune is still located in Taizu Temple of dingjiafan, with three management areas of Dalan, Nanlan and Xinlan. Dalan management area is located in Taizu Temple of dingjiafan, Nanlan management area is located in Xilingxia village, and Xinlan management area is located in front of the old hall of Yazhuang village.
In June 1960, the three villages of Changnong, Longtan and Yindi originally belonged to Shangyu county were assigned to Yuyao county and Liangnong district. The four villages of Dayu, Banling, Huashan and Huangjiazhuang in Nanlan management area are divided into Huashan commune and belong to Siming Mountain area.
In 1961, Dalan, Nanlan and Xinlan were merged and divided into Dalan commune and Xinlan commune. Dalan commune is located in Taizu temple and Xinlan commune is located in front of Yazhuang old hall. In the past, the five villages of Dayu, dayuanji, Banling, Huashan and Huangjiazhuang in Nanlan management area were designated Huashan commune.
In July 1962, Dalan commune and Xinlan commune merged into Dalan commune.
In 1966, two villages, Mishan and Daiwang, originally belonging to Shangyu County, were incorporated into Dalan commune.
In 1970, Ningbo area was changed to Ningbo area.
In 1983, it was changed into Ningbo City, and the territory of Dalan commune and Huashan commune in Yuyao County remained unchanged. In September 1983, the government and society were separated. The people's commune was renamed "Xiang" and renamed "Dalan Xiang" and "Huashan Xiang". The township is still located in Taizu temple.
Dragonfly Gang group is divided into Dragonfly gang and Xilingxia villages. Tuanjie group is divided into Daiwang and Mishan villages. Xiazhizhuang, zhujiazhai and other natural villages are also separated from guanxia and Yazhuang villages and are independent administrative villages. There are 22 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Dalan township.
In July 1985, Yuyao county was set up as a city. Dalan Township and Huashan Township still belong to Siming Mountain Area of Yuyao City. The township government office building was built in the paddy field in front of Taizu temple.
In May 1992, the district was withdrawn and merged with Huashan Township, which was renamed Dalan Town, with 30 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
In 2001, the village level administrative region was adjusted to 14 administrative villages, Daiwang and Mishan merged into daimi village, Qiuzhuang, Sifeng and xiajialing merged into Dalan village, Yazhuang, Dachen and zhujiazhai merged into Yazhuang village, dingjiafan and xiazhizhuang merged into dingjiafan village, Dalu and guanxia merged into daluxia village, Changnong and Huangjiazhuang merged into Huangjiazhuang village, Yindi and Longtan merged into Yindi Longtan Village Huashan and dayuanji were merged into Huashan village; Dayu and Banling were merged into Dayu village; chengshansi, Fenshuiling and Ganzhu were merged into Xinlan village; taojiakeng, dragonfly hill, shigu and Xilingxia were merged into Nanlan village; Shangma, Houzhu and Shilin were set up separately.

Dalan town is located in the mountainous area. It mainly produces rice and tea, forming industries such as alpine Yunwu Tea, flowers, fruits, livestock and so on. The tea planting area reaches 25000 mu. In 2002, Dalan town was awarded "hometown of Alpine Yunwu Tea in China". "Siming Longjian" with its green color, compact shape, clear and bright soup color has won the gold award of international famous tea competition, the gold award of China Fine Tea Expo, the gold award of China Agricultural Expo, Ningbo famous brand product, and the title of eight famous tea in Ningbo in 2007.
