In June 2000, Zhenghong, Zhanggou and chenzhu were merged after the adjustment of township administrative divisions. It is located in the South Gate of Binhai County, adjacent to Caiqiao town in the East, Sheyang County in the southeast, Funing County in the southwest across the Sheyang River (the junction of the three counties), and Tongyu town in the north. It has jurisdiction over 29 villages and 2 communities, covering an area of 145 square kilometers (2017), with a total population of 90678 (2017), and a cultivated area of 121000 mu.
