Chengji town

Chengji town is known as "little Yanan in Northern Jiangsu". Chengji town is located in the west of Lianshui County, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, bordering Zhangji Township and liulaozhuang township of Huaiyin District in the south, Guzhai township of Huaiyin District in the west, Liangcha town of Lianshui County in the north and Chenshi street of Lianshui County across the river in the East. Revolutionary history

Chengji is an old revolutionary base area with glorious tradition. As early as the beginning of 1928, Comrade Pan Honglie, an early member of Lianshui party, set up Chengji branch, the earliest rural Party branch in our county. Since then, the revolutionary fire has been sown in the hearts of Chengji people. Under the leadership of the party, Chengji peasants carried out anti tax activities and participated in the August 1 riots in 1930. Chengji was the main response area to the riots.
