The duty of the police is to uphold justice and crack down on criminals. Rick, as a policeman, always struggles with criminals. Sean is Rick's good friend and partner. They once went on duty to have a fierce gunfight with a group of criminals. During the gunfight, an injured criminal shot Rick. Rick was injured, lost too much blood, fell into a coma and was sent to the hospital by Sean. When Rick woke up, the hospital was empty, and many dead bodies were parked in the backyard of the hospital. The whole world was no longer the same as before. Rick left the hospital and went to a meadow to find a bicycle. Dwayne and his son met Rick when they went out. Rick and Dwayne and his son didn't know each other. They went together and found a bunch of weapons to go their separate ways. Rick planned to go back to the city to find his wife, while Dwayne and his son went home to continue to hold their position. Lori and her son Carl look at Rick in surprise, and the three members of the family hold each other in envy. As night falls, Rick sits next to the fire and tells everyone about his escape experience. After the zombie crisis broke out, Rick nearly lost his life in the city. Fortunately, Glen appeared and saved Rick. In the evening, Rick and his wife and son go to the tent to have a rest. Soon after Carl goes to bed, he falls asleep. Rick comes to his wife Lori and lies down. They hug each other and are warm. Sean sits in a chair and watches Rick and his wife sleep in the tent with the lights out. Rick survives and reunites with his wife and son. Sean's face is complicated and he has mixed feelings. At dawn the next day, someone in the camp finds a fallen corpse. Several strong men join forces to kill the walking corpse. When Daryl comes back from the camp, he learns that his brother Moore's life and death are unknown. He gets angry and almost conflicts with Rick. When Sean sees that the situation is not good, he rushes forward and hugs Daryl. Daryl is angry and decides to go back to the city to rescue his brother Moore. Moore's whereabouts are unknown. Daryl returns to the city and comes to the rooftop only to find a broken palm. Sean wants to talk with Lori by the river. Lori is reluctant to be close to Sean because of her reunion with Rick. Sean is angry and quarrels with Lori. Lori accuses Sean of falsely claiming that Rick is dead. Sean is angry with ED because of his quarrel with Lori. Ed often maltreats his wife Carol. Sean vent his anger on ed. ED is beaten black and blue by Sean. Carol panics and dissuades Sean from continuing violence. Before Sean's anger subsided, he got up and left. Moore was trapped on the rooftop because he didn't have the key and failed to retreat with everyone. T-boy's life is on the line. Rick raises his pistol at Daryl. Moore and the team members never had a good relationship. Not long ago, Moore was trapped on the roof because t-boy lost his handcuffed key. Moore had a motive to revenge t-boy and others.
