Baling Zuiwei, a Chinese idiom, is written in B à L í ngzu à w è I, which describes being invaded and humiliated after losing an official. From the biography of General Li in historical records.

In the epitaph of Wu Mingche, general Huaide of the Zhou Dynasty, written by Yu Xin of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, it is said that "when you are a drunken captain, you will be able to invade and humiliate; when you are a Marquis of the eastern mausoleum, you have passed away your life." Ni fan's note: "the injury to the Ming Dynasty, the embarrassment to the Zhou Dynasty, can not be used for Chen." Song Sushi's one of "the second rhyme yanggongji Fengyi plum blossom": "when the moon is black and the woods meet, who is wrong?"
Idioms and allusions
The original story is a few years old. Guangjia and Sun Ping, the Marquis of Yingyin, lived in the south mountain of Lantian to shoot. Taste the night from a ride out, from the people field leisure drink. Return to baling Pavilion, baling captain drunk, ah, stop wide. Guangqi said, "so general Li. "The captain said," the general is not going to leave at night today. Why! "Stop sleeping in the pavilion. The Xiongnu defeated the general of South Korea, and later the general of South Korea moved to Peiping. So the emperor called and worshipped Guang as the right governor of Peking. Guang asked baling Wei to be with him and cut him off in the army. He lived in youpeiping. When the Huns heard about it, they called it "flying General of the Han Dynasty". He was several years old and did not dare to enter youpeiping. In the twinkling of an eye, Li Guang has lived at home for several years. Li Guang lives in seclusion with the grandson of the former Yingyin Marquis, shooting in the south mountain of Lantian. One night, he took a rider out to drink with others in the countryside. When he came back, he went to baling Posthouse. Baling Wei got drunk and scolded Li Guang for forbidding him to pass. Li Guang's rider said, "this is the former General Li." Ting Wei said, "the current general can't travel at night, let alone the former one!" so he let Li Guang live under the pavilion. After a short time, the Huns invaded and killed the prefect of western Liaoning, defeated general Han an, and General Han died after he was transferred to youbeiping. So Emperor Wu ordered Li Guang to be the prefect of youbeiping. Li Guang asked captain baling to go with him and killed him in the army. Li Guang guarded youbeiping. The Xiongnu heard his name and called him "the flying General of the Han Dynasty". He evaded him for several years and did not dare to enter youpeiping. The injustice of Zui Wei, the name of Ba Ling Wei, and where he lives are unknown. I only know that he was a county captain in Baling county (now east of Chang'an County, Shaanxi Province) in the Han Dynasty. Because the tomb of Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty was called baling, baling county was set up there. There was a pavilion post near baling, and the pavilion leader was also the county captain, who was responsible for guarding the tomb, so he was called "baling captain". After reading Sima Qian's biography of General Li in historical records, I feel that it is a bit unjust that Captain baling died at the hand of flying General Li Guang. I have to start with Li Guang. Among the famous generals of the Western Han Dynasty, Li Guang was the oldest. He became a general when he was Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty; when he was Emperor Jing of the Han Dynasty, he went with general Zhou Yafu to pacify the rebellion of the seven kingdoms and made great contributions; later he was awarded general Wei Wei when he was Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, and he often fought with general Wei Qing. In his life, he served as the prefect of Longxi, Beidi, Yanmen, Daijun and Yunzhong. For many years, he has been fighting against the invasion of Xiongnu in the north and experienced "more than 70 battles". Because of his outstanding riding and shooting, quick action like the wind, people can't figure out his way, so the Huns call him "flying general". however, there are no victorious generals in the military, and Li Guang sometimes loses. In 129 BC, he was ordered to fight against the Xiongnu. Unexpectedly, he was surrounded by Xiongnu troops in Yanmen mountain (now 35 Li northwest of Daixian County in Shanxi Province, which was a northern fortress at that time), and his troops were badly damaged. Although Li Guang got out of danger tactfully after being captured alive by the enemy, he was sentenced to death for losing his troops. Fortunately, there was a rule in the Han Dynasty at that time: a sinner can take out money to atone. Li Guang paid a sum of money to "redeem for the common people" and cut his job for the people, and finally saved his life. Li Guang retired from the forest and lived in the south mountain of Lantian, Shaanxi Province. He often spent his time shooting and hunting. One night, he took a Ma Bian out to drink with others in the field. When he came back, it was curfew time. At this time, baling Wei, who was guarding baling, was also drunk. When he saw that someone had violated the ban, he yelled, "Oh, stop Guang", forbidding Li Guang to pass. Li Guang's Ma Bian came forward to say hello: This is "General Li". Ba Ling Wei said: "the general is not allowed to travel at night today. Why?" That is to say, even the current general is not allowed to travel at night, not to mention that you are the former general? So he impolitely "stopped staying under the pavilion" and detained Li Guang, leaving him to stay in the Post Pavilion. Once upon a time, Li Guang was in command of thousands of troops, but he was trapped by a small man. He tasted the taste of being bullied by dogs. Therefore, in the eyes of later generations, this anecdote of Baling Wei's stopping his night trip became a portrayal of the hero's downfall and the villain's success, and an allusion of "being dismissed and humiliated". Therefore, baling Wei became a typical snob and was criticized by many people. Tang poet Luo Binwang's poem "imperial capital chapter" said: "there is no re Zhang childe in front of the door, who is afraid of General Li in bating." Du Fu's poem "Antarctica" says: "if you leave in disorder, you will get drunk and worry about killing General Li." They all think that Li Guang lost his position and was ridiculed and humiliated by baling Wei, and lamented the vicissitudes of the world. In fact, according to the author, Li Guang is not worthy of sympathy in this matter, and baling Wei should not be blamed, but should be praised. No matter whether you are "today's general" or "old general", you are not allowed to break the ban. What's wrong with insisting that everyone is equal before the law and deal with it according to law? Although he was drunk (violating the work discipline), fortunately, he was still sober and not confused. He did not neglect his duty and let him go carelessly. He was also responsible. What's the blame? If this baling captain turns on the red light to the common people and turns on the green light when he meets the dignitaries, he will worship and flatter even if there is a word "Gu" in front of the officer. That's a snob! It can be seen that more than 2000 years ago, this bailing captain was unshakable in his adherence to the law. He had a lot of spirit and courage to "say that adults are despised" and "the law is not noble". Li Guang had nothing to say at that time, so he had to "condescend" to comply. However, not long after this event, because the Huns invaded the border, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty recruited Li Guang again, worshipped him as the eunuch of youbeiping (now east of Jianchang County, Hebei Province), and led the army to fight against him. Li Guang immediately asked Emperor Wu for permission and sent the bailing captain who had stopped him to go with him. When he got to the front army, he decapitated the county captain. It's not hard to see that Li Guang has long been worried about his past affairs because of the innocent killing of Baling Wei. Otherwise, why did he take the life of others once he was in power? Is general Li a little too narrow-minded in taking revenge to vent his personal anger and abusing his power to show off his quickness?
