Yu Qingchang
(1724 ad to) word gengyou, Hubei Anlu people. He was born in the second year of Yongzheng reign of emperor Shizong of Qing Dynasty and died in the fifth year of Jiaqing reign of emperor Renzong. You Minhui, quiet and lustless, likes Gu Yanwu's learning, and his poems are similar. In the 15th year of Qianlong (1750 A.D.), there were many people. All the officials, including Guangxi Tongzhi and Leping Prefecture magistrate, have made great achievements. His life is not based on his tendency to go, but all the documents are able to recognize and memorize by heart, and the superior officials are able to admire his talents. After returning home, Tan Nanchong, governor of Yunnan Province, was appointed to head Wuhua Academy.
Qingchang poems are more concise than those in song and Yuan Dynasties. He is the author of twenty-two books, including dashushanfang manuscripts, Rengui Shichao, Dengshi Yiji, Mochi Ganzhu, Xiyuan congtan, and deyitang Jiaxun, which are fifty-one volumes. He also compiled eighty volumes of Tongzheng Quanshu for Wang Chang, which are all biographies of Qing history.
