Wang yingsun (1238-1312 A.D.), a talented man, was born in Kuaiji (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province) in the late Song Dynasty. He was a painter and was good at painting ink bamboo orchid. In the seventh year of emperor duzong's reign (1271), he was assigned to the office of supervisor.
In Yuan Dynasty, he lived in seclusion and did not become an official. He built Dongqing cave with Xie Ao, Guo Pu, Lin Jingxi, and Tang jueyou. Xiuzhu was the master of Xiuzhu and was rarely known in the world. There is a collection of Xiuzhu, which has been lost. See Volume 60 of Shaoxing Fu Zhi and volume 7 of preparation for painting.
