Zhu Wenzao (1735-1806) was born in Renhe of Qing Dynasty (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang). Since childhood, I have been fond of reading books. He once collated the group books in Zhenqi hall, Wang Xian's Library in Tongyi. He was very knowledgeable. He was not only proficient in six books, but also proficient in history, and also engaged in poetry and prose. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, Wang Jie, a Bachelor of Arts, introduced him to the capital to take part in the editing and proofreading of Sikuquanshu. He once discussed with sun Xingyan and Ruan Yuan on Jinshi, and compiled the Jinshi annals of shanzuo for Ruan Yuan. He supplemented and edited the whole Zhejiang poetry for Tao yuanzao. Later, he participated in the compilation of Ruan Yuan's liangzhexin Lu, Wang Chang's Xihu Zhi and other books. He also compiled Jin Shi Cui Bian, dazang Shengjiao Jieti and other books for Wang Chang. Proofreading and printing of Yuhang County chronicles, Jiaxing Prefecture records, Town God's Temple records of Wu Shan and Chong Fu Temple are also helpful. His works are very rich, such as the textual research of Shuowen system, the collection of poems and essays of Bixi Caotang, and Bixi Shihua. He also wrote Bixi congchao, Dongxuan Suilu, Dongcheng Xiaozhi, Donggao Xiaozhi, qingniaoyuan, jinyekao, Taipu, xulijiji jishuo, shuowenjiezhuankaoyi, etc. The six books, including Shuo Wen Xi Zhuan, Pei Chen, Han Jian, Zhong Ding Kuan Shi and Bo Gu Tu, all have their own origins. They are able to understand the purport and write by hand.
Zhu Wenzao (1736-1806) was a calligrapher and emendator of Qing Dynasty. It is a native of Renhe (now Hangzhou), Zhejiang Province. Zhu Sheng, skilled in collating and cataloging, once assisted in collating Sikuquanshu, and took imperial examination of classics in nanshufang. He had a lot of contacts with famous book collectors in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, such as Bao Tingbo, Wu Qian, Ruan Yuan, sun Xingyan and Wang Chang. He had close correspondence and good friendship. He was once employed by Wang Xian's "Zhenqi hall" for more than 10 years. He discussed the classics and history with several comrades, and there was no empty day for collation. Bao Tingbo borrowed and copied books from Wang Xian, which he collected; Bao Tingbo carved books, which he collated; in order to write shuowenjiezizhizhuan, he borrowed shuowenjiezizhizhuan from Zhu Huan, wrote it by himself, then returned it, and took Yu Li's collection for collation. He also studied Jinshi with sun Xingyan and compiled the Jinshi annals of shanzuo. He and Wang Chang compiled such books as Jinshi cuibian and dazang Shengjiao Jieti. There are "Baochun hall" and "Bixi thatched hall" in the library, with a collection of more than 10000 volumes. He has compiled the book collection of Bao Chun Tang, which records more than 1000 kinds of books. Among them, there are song and Yuan editions, mostly Ming and Qing editions and transcripts.
